According to the announcement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , at the invitation of Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong will pay an official visit to Vietnam and co-chair the 5th Foreign Ministers' Meeting from August 21-24, 2023.
Previously, on July 12, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son met with Foreign Minister Penny Wong while attending the 56th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Jakarta, Indonesia.
At the meeting, the two Ministers expressed satisfaction with the positive developments in bilateral relations. On this occasion, Minister Bui Thanh Son invited Foreign Minister Penny Wong to soon visit Vietnam and co-chair the fifth Vietnam-Australia Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.
