According to the bulletin of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from November 17 to 19, the southern area of the Gulf of Tonkin will have winds of level 5-6, gusting to level 7; the northern area of the East Sea (including the waters of the Hoang Sa archipelago), the central area of the East Sea, the waters west of the Truong Sa archipelago and the waters from Quang Tri to Ca Mau will have winds of level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9; the southern area of the East Sea (including the waters of the Truong Sa archipelago), the waters from Binh Thuan to Kien Giang and the Gulf of Thailand will have showers and thunderstorms, with the possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.

To proactively respond to strong winds at sea, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense requests the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of coastal districts and towns and relevant agencies and units to closely monitor information and developments of strong winds at sea; notify captains and owners of vehicles and vessels operating at sea to proactively prevent and have appropriate production plans, ensuring safety of people and property; maintain communication to promptly handle bad situations that may occur.

At the same time, prepare forces and means to deploy rescue work when there is a situation.

Strengthen information and communication work on weather developments, natural disasters and measures to respond to strong winds at sea, storms and tornadoes on mass media so that people can proactively prevent and minimize damage.
