Speaking at the program, comrade Nguyen Van Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism affirmed: History has recorded that 80 years ago, when the heroic song Tien Quan Ca resounded, our country entered the era of independence. From that sacred sound, the entire Vietnamese nation under the leadership of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam, wrote a great epic with a full range of emotions - heroic and tragic, hardship and glory, aspiration and belief in a bright future.
Over the past 80 years, culture and art have always accompanied the nation, creating a source of nourishment for the soul, strength, spirit and will of Vietnam. The special art program “80 Years – Journey of Independence, Freedom, Happiness” not only performed musical works, dances, and echoed profound poems, but also expressed deep gratitude to previous generations who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

“When the music plays, people will come together to join hands in solidarity to build Vietnam to become stronger, more prosperous, free and happy,” Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasized.
Starting with the symphony My Fatherland and the Voluntary Medley - Praising the Fatherland , the program evokes in the audience emotional and proud feelings. From here, it opens up an artistic space structured in three chapters, recreating the heroic historical flow of the nation - where the stages that our Fatherland has gone through appear like an immortal heroic epic.
Chapter I “The Road to Independence and Unification” is an epic song honoring the journey to regain national independence and unification, written with the blood and courage of many generations of ancestors.

From the Autumn Revolution of 1945 to the Great Victory of Spring 1975, our country has gone through unforgettable years – where every inch of land was soaked in blood, every step forward was exchanged for countless sacrifices. That was the path of those who fell so that the Fatherland could rise, the sacred foundation of an independent, unified and eternal Vietnam.
Chapter II “Aspiration for the Fatherland” opens up a youthful, dynamic, innovative and aspirational image of Vietnam today. This is the crystallization of sweat, tears and tireless efforts of the entire Party, people and army throughout the journey from the ashes of war to build the country.
Chapter III “My Fatherland, Never So Beautiful” resounds with joy and confidence in the development of a Vietnam that is reaching out to enter a new era – an era of development, wealth and prosperity.
The program features nearly 20 elaborately staged performances, combining music, choreography, lighting, special effects, commentary, etc., creating eye-catching performances, bringing the audience to sublimation in patriotism and national pride.

Along with artistically rich scenes such as Long Night of Slaves, Successful August Revolution, Liberation of the South..., the program also brings reportage footage and authentic documentary images, helping viewers vividly visualize the 80-year historical journey to affirm the nation's aspiration for independence, freedom, and happiness.
The interesting thing is that besides the profound and heroic sounds of songs that have been around for years such as: Tien Quan Ca, Tu Nguon, Ca Hai To Quoc, Dau Chan Tien Tien, Cung Nhau Di Hong Binh - Doan Ve Quoc Quan, Nguoi Ha Noi - Song Lo - Chien Thang Dien Bien ..., viewers can also enjoy fresh melodies full of youthful enthusiasm, such as: Khat Vong Tuoi Tre, Welcome to Vietnam, Yeu Nu Cuoi Viet Nam, Vinh Quang Dang Cho Ta ...

It is also a way for the audience to touch the flow of history through the language of art, thereby feeling more deeply about the 80-year journey - from the painful days to the glorious moments, from the desire for independence to the desire for power, our nation has written an immortal epic of independence, freedom, and happiness.
