Bank gives money and SJC gold bars to customers who link social security accounts on VNeID

(NLDO) – A series of banks and e-wallets have connected with the Ministry of Public Security to deploy the service of linking accounts to receive social security payments on the VNEID application.

At the end of August 29, HDBank announced that it had just launched a promotion program, customers will immediately receive 150,000 VND and a chance to win 1 SJC gold bar when linking their account on the VNeID application.

Accordingly, HDBank cooperated with the Ministry of Public Security to deploy the service of linking accounts to receive social security payments of VND 100,000 according to the policies of the Party and State on the VNeID application - "Link HDBank account on VNeID - Enjoy Social Security".

Applicable subjects are all citizens with Vietnamese nationality, registered at the National Population Data Center and linking HDBank account with VNeID.

Specifically, new customers who open an HDBank account and successfully link it to a social security account on the VNeID application will immediately receive 50,000 VND into their HDBank account (applicable to the first 10,000 customers).

In addition, customers who meet the above conditions and have new opening orders falling within special milestones on the HDBank system (99, 299, 699, 999, 1,999, 2,999, 3,999, 4,999, 5,999, 6,999, 7,999, 8,999, 9,999, 19,999, 29,999, 39,999, 49,999 and 59,999) will receive an additional gift worth 1 SJC gold bar.

BIDV representative said that in addition to 100,000 VND, all people receive according to the general policy on the VNeID application, citizens who do not have a bank account will receive an additional gift set of cash, vouchers up to 630,000 VND from this bank when opening a BIDV account on the SmartBanking application to link to the Social Security account, at the same time experience the multi-utility digital ecosystem and participate in the lucky spin program with thousands of preferential vouchers...

On August 29, according to a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper , right after the news of giving 100,000 VND to each person celebrating Independence Day, many people installed the VNeID application to link to payment accounts opened at banks.

A series of banks said they have cooperated with the Ministry of Public Security to deploy a service to link accounts to receive social security payments on the VNeID application.

According to banks, all citizens with Vietnamese nationality, registered at the National Population Data Center and linked their bank accounts with VNeID can now link their accounts to receive social security payments.

For example, at HDBank, if you are an existing customer, you will log in to the VNeID application and select "Social Security"; select "Social Security Account"; select the "HDBank" Logo when linking for the first time, or go to "Registration History" and select "Change Social Security Account" when you need to update the linked account; enter the HDBank Payment Account number... Customers will follow the instructions on the application to complete.

Steps to guide bank account owners to link with social security accounts on VNeID

These steps are also instructed similarly for account holders of many other commercial banks such as: BIDV, Vietcombank, VietinBank, LPBank, MB, Agribank, Nam A Bank, Co-opBank, TPBank, PvcomBank, Sacombank, Shinhan Bank, NCB...

According to preliminary statistics of the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS), this unit has coordinated with units under the Ministry of Public Security and related agencies to deploy social security services; deploy phase 1 social security payment services, linking social security numbers with bank accounts, Mobile Money accounts for 17 banks, and some e-wallets such as VNPT Money and Viettel Money.

For new customers, to connect to social security accounts on VNeID, banks said they can download the application (app) to open an account, then follow the steps as instructed to receive social security payments.

According to banks, the linked account must be a VND account, with the same owner, active and unrestricted. The VNeID application is developed by the National Population Data Center, can be searched and downloaded from CH Play (for Android) or App Store (for iOS), all are labeled as Government applications or developed by State agencies. Customers are advised to carefully research the information of the applications before downloading.
