
According to the Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter, in order to prevent the deterioration of heritage structures, ensure the safety of tourists and preserve the unique cultural and historical values of the Old Quarter, the unit will carry out periodic restoration and embellishment work. Therefore, some relics in the area will be temporarily closed during the restoration and embellishment period.
Specifically, Quan De Temple (28 Hang Buom), closed from May 20, 2025, is expected to reopen on January 2026.
Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center (50 Dao Duy Tu) will close from July 1, 2025 and is expected to reopen from November 21, 2025.
Heritage House No. 87 Ma May will close from July 1, 2025 and is expected to reopen from April 26, 2026.
The Management Board of Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter said that this restoration work not only contributes to preserving the long-standing cultural values of Thang Long - Hanoi but also aims to improve the quality of experience for future visitors. After the restoration is completed, the relics are expected to continue to be attractive destinations in the journey to explore history, architecture and traditional cultural life in the heart of the Old Quarter.
