Before the match against Venezuela, Messi confirmed that this would be his last match for Argentina at home. Therefore, the 38-year-old striker brought his whole family to watch and took his 3 sons down to take a souvenir photo before the match. Messi also had tears in his eyes while singing the Argentine national anthem.

Marking this special milestone, Messi shone brightly. He scored the opening goal in the 39th minute after an assist from Alvarez. In the 80th minute, this striker sealed a 3-0 victory for the home team with a clever tap-in. Before that, Lautaro Martinez scored the second goal for Argentina.
