Malaysia will face Vietnam at 8:00 p.m. today (June 10) at Bukit Jalil Stadium in the second match of Group F of the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup.
Coach Peter Cklamovski has just announced the starting 11 names, including 9/11 naturalized players.
Right before the match, they received great news when the World Football Federation (FIFA) officially approved their 5 new naturalized players right before the match.
Mr. Cklamovski immediately launched 4/5 of these new players, namely Facundo Garces (Argentine origin), Jon Irazabal (Spain), Joao Figueiredo (Argentina) and Rodrigo Holgado (Brazil) to play from the start.
Facundo Garces is playing for Deportivo Alaves in the Spanish National Championship (La Liga) and striker Rodrigo Holgado will be the biggest concern for coach Kim Sang Sik's team.
This will be an extremely difficult challenge for our Vietnam team as these new naturalized players are all unpredictable unknowns.
However, the integration of these players is a big question mark when they do not have much time to practice together.
