Officers and soldiers of the armed forces of Hoa Binh province rejoice with the family of Mr. Bui Van Tuan in Man Thong hamlet, Quyet Thang commune (Lac Son) when they received support to demolish their temporary and dilapidated house.
Promote the core, pioneering and loyal role
In 2025, implementing the major policies of the Party and State and the direction of Party committees and authorities at all levels on poverty reduction and poverty alleviation, the provincial armed forces will promote their core and pioneering role in performing their tasks, contributing practical and effective efforts. Through specific actions, the provincial armed forces will not only contribute to improving the lives of the poor but also enhance the noble qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the hearts of the people.
Colonel Trinh Duc Thiem, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, affirmed: The XNT and NDN program is not simply a social security program, but also a political responsibility, a vivid manifestation of the tradition of military-civilian solidarity from wartime to peacetime. With that spirit, the military units in the whole province have proactively and actively participated, demonstrating high determination with strong and specific actions.
In 2025, the provincial military units participated in supporting construction workdays and completed 129 houses for people. To complete the task of helping people, agencies and units mobilized 425 regular officers and soldiers and 5,831 militia and self-defense soldiers (DQTV) along with hundreds of vehicles to transport construction materials to construction sites, mainly in remote areas. In addition to contributing workdays, the provincial military units also supported 697 million VND for families in the XNT,NDN program. Although this amount is not large compared to actual needs, it contains deep affection, clearly demonstrating the role, responsibility and heart for the people of soldiers in peacetime.
In particular, many agencies and units have become bright spots in the movement. For example, in Da Bac, where the terrain is complex, traffic is difficult, and the poverty rate is high, the military units mobilized 1,425 officers and soldiers of the militia and self-defense force and 65 officers and soldiers on duty to support and help dozens of households build new, spacious and solid houses before the flood season. The districts of Cao Phong, Tan Lac, Kim Boi, and Lac Thuy also promoted the spirit of mutual love, each unit contributed from 650 to 1,000 working days, actively participating in the work of supporting the construction of houses for poor households and policy families. A typical example is the Yen Thuy District Military Command. In addition to mobilizing officers and soldiers to participate in working days of construction, transporting materials, and leveling the ground, they also directly supported 142 million VND for the families. This is the highest level in the whole province. That clearly demonstrates the spirit of "close to the people, by the people, for the people" of the provincial military officers and soldiers.
Continue writing about the military-civilian relationship
The contributions of the provincial armed forces in the movement of resistance against the US are not only measured by numbers, but are also deeply felt through each touching story written by the "Uncle Ho's soldiers" with the love of the army and the people. For example, the family of Mr. Bui Van Tuan in Man Thong hamlet, Quyet Thang commune (Lac Son) is a policy family with especially difficult circumstances. His father was a war invalid in the resistance war against the US, his mother suffered from a serious illness. The family's old house was degraded and did not ensure safe living conditions. Faced with that situation, the Provincial Military Command mobilized 25 officers and soldiers of the 814th Infantry Regiment and nearly 50 youth union members and local militia to support the construction of a new house on an area of 100m². The efforts of the officers and soldiers of the armed forces helped Mr. Tuan's family reduce costs, speed up the completion progress to put it into use in time.
Emotional on the day of moving into the new house, Mr. Tuan shared: We are grateful to the soldiers. Thanks to their dedicated support, my family has a spacious and sturdy house. Now, I can work with peace of mind, take care of my children's education, and my elderly mother also has a safe place to live.
Like Mr. Tuan's family, hundreds of households in Da Bac, Kim Boi, Mai Chau, Lac Thuy districts... were truly moved when receiving practical and meaningful support from the provincial military. The image of soldiers covered in mud, carrying bags of cement, bricks, building house frames, digging and filling foundations... has been imprinted in people's memories as a vivid symbol of the "military-civilian relationship like fish and water".
To achieve the above results, according to Colonel Trinh Duc Thiem, it is because during the implementation process, the provincial military units have closely coordinated with local Party committees, authorities, and organizations to ensure the correct procedures, objects, progress, and quality of the project. This is also an opportunity for the provincial military to demonstrate its organizational, command, and mass mobilization capacity and its strong political will, deeply attached to the people in the new period. Not only a social security movement, the XNT,NDN program is also an opportunity for the provincial military to continue to consolidate the "people's hearts and minds", contributing to building the image of a revolutionary soldier with courage, humanity, discipline, and readiness to serve the people.
With specific, practical and meaningful humane actions, the provincial armed forces continue to affirm themselves as a reliable support for the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the province to develop socio-economy, build new rural areas and move towards a prosperous and happy life in the land of "four Muongs".
