Within 5 days, the Engineering Team of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Force completed a national flag covering an area of nearly 100 square meters at the Level 1 Field Hospital in Africa.
Information from the Engineering Team (Vietnam Peacekeeping ), to celebrate the 79th anniversary of National Day September 2, the Vietnam Engineering Team has had many practical and meaningful activities.
In particular, at Highway base, the Vietnam Peacekeeping Engineering Team painted the national flag on the roof of module 3, with an area of nearly 100 square meters, in the Level 1 Field Hospital area.

The national flag is located in front of the entrance gate, easily visible from the road leading to the base. Despite having to face sudden and prolonged rains that caused the paint to fade, the team quickly completed the flag in just 5 days.
This is not only a welcome to international friends to the base of the Vietnam Peacekeeping Engineer Team, but also an affirmation and national pride of each blue beret soldier performing his duty in Abyei.

Also on this occasion, the GGHB Engineering Team organized a number of activities such as: Repairing and handing over boats to people in the local community of Mijak; Providing food, medicine, and clothing to Abyei Hospital; Upgrading roads, organizing dredging of water ditches, replacing sewers, and supporting flood prevention in the area.
Helping people repair boats has brought many positive effects, serving the most essential needs of local people with the aim of serving the daily life and livelihood of people here.
The Vietnamese Engineering Team organized food, medicine and clothing aid for Abyei Hospital including: Intestinal antibiotics (1000 tablets), antibiotics for ear, nose and throat, pneumonia, skin wounds (2000 tablets) and Vitamins (300 tablets); wound antiseptic (50 bottles); anti-flu gargle (500 bottles), cotton, bandages, medical gauze... To date, the 2nd Engineer Team has repaired four boats for the Mijak village community.
The Engineering Team also provided food, medicine, and clothing to Abyei Hospital; upgraded roads, organized dredging of ditches, replaced sewers, and supported flood control in the Abyei area.

Colonel Nguyen Viet Hung, Captain of the Vietnamese Engineer Team, affirmed: "All of us, all those who are living and working in Abyei, whether Abyei people, peacekeepers, whether present or not, always remember that we are living together in the Common House of Abyei and together, we will bring peace to Abyei".
