According to TBR Football , Liverpool's final fee could even reach £140 million if add-ons are included. However, Newcastle are still determined not to sell Isak and are demanding a fee of up to £150 million, a figure Liverpool are not willing to pay in the first place.

Isak has repeatedly expressed his desire to move to Liverpool and informed the board last month. However, Newcastle have maintained a tough stance and will not accept any offers below their valuation.

After 2 rounds of Premier League 2025/26, Isak has not played for Newcastle. He is still training separately from the first team.

On August 26, the Daily Mail reported that a delegation from the club visited Isak's home to discuss a new contract. However, the Swedish striker still affirmed his ambition to join Liverpool.

Isak's strong move to leave has caused outrage among Newcastle fans, with fans calling Isak a "rat" and demanding that he be removed from the squad for the entire current season.

Elsewhere, Newcastle are also looking for attacking reinforcements, having had a £50m bid rejected by Wolves for striker Jacob Strand Larsen. Brentford's Yoane Wissa is another striker on Newcastle's radar.

Jota's only goal helped Liverpool solidify their top spot. In the 57th minute, Diogo Jota scored the only goal to help Liverpool win the Merseyside derby against Everton.
