On the afternoon of July 29, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) conducted the draw for the 2026 Asian Women's Football Championship. The draw placed the Vietnamese women's team in Group C with championship candidates Japan, India and Chinese Taipei.
According to the schedule set by the organizers, the Vietnamese women's team will play their opening match against the Indian women's team on March 4.
