The 2024 Vietnamese New Year Festival officially closed after 4 days of jubilant events.

The 2024 Vietnamese New Year Festival took place at Le Van Tam Park (District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), creating a Tet atmosphere ahead of schedule for both Ho Chi Minh City residents and especially those living far from home. The event attracted 90,000 visitors with many exciting activities, where Vietnamese culture and cuisine from the past to the present were vividly recreated and blended.

After 4 days, the 2024 Vietnamese New Year Festival co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association with the coordination of the Department of Industry and Trade and other agencies and departments ended successfully on the evening of January 21.

During the 4 days, the festival's activities revolved around 5 main themes: "Watching Tet; Playing Tet; Traveling Tet; Eating Tet and Tet Market" at 150 booths. The festival attracted more than 90,000 domestic and foreign visitors to visit and experience, about 2,000 more visitors than the organizers initially expected. Estimated revenue was nearly 50 billion VND.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa - Director of the Department of Tourism said that the Vietnamese Tet Festival has affirmed its potential to become an annual cultural - tourism event of the City. The festival also contributes to preserving and promoting traditional customs, practices, and rituals, imbued with the cultural identity of the nation. At the same time, it contributes to positioning the tourism brand of Ho Chi Minh City - a friendly, vibrant, and exciting destination for residents and visitors.
