Border Guard Club crowned 2024 National Volleyball Champion

The Border Guard Club with its core players in the Vietnam national team such as Nguyen Ngoc Thuan, Truong The Khai, Pham Van Hiep, Tran Duy Tuyen, Dinh Van Duy and foreign player Thanomnoi (Thailand) took to the field with a "fiery" fighting spirit. The defending champion Sanest Khanh Hoa expects the experience of Tu Thanh Thuan, Huynh Trung Truc, Nguyen Dinh Nhu along with Duong Van Tien, Tran Trien Chieu and Brazilian foreign player Dias de Souza.

On an explosive day of competition, the Border Guard boys confidently launched attacks while organizing effective defense, thereby winning 25/23 in game 1. Tu Thanh Thuan and his teammates from Sanest Khanh Hoa Club rose up in time in game 2, equalizing the score 1-1 after winning 25/20.

However, that was all the defending champion team could do as the Border Guard players played "all-round offense and defense", convincingly winning the next two games with scores of 25/20 and 25/21 respectively.

The 3-1 victory over Sanest Khanh Hoa helped Nguyen Ngoc Thuan and his teammates become the new national men's volleyball champions. This is the third time the team has won the national championship after the first time in 2009 and the second time in 2011.

The relegation battle also ended with Ha Tinh and Vinh Long clubs having to play in class A in 2025. Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City Police team won a ticket to promotion and play in the 2025 National Volleyball Championship.
