Early in the morning, at the Traditional Medicine Clinic of Thien Truoc Holy See, many people came to see a doctor, get acupuncture and receive free medicine. Mr. Nguyen Duy Ri, Head of the Management Board of Thien Truoc Holy See, said: “Thien Truoc Holy See regularly maintains social charity activities. Everyone learns from Uncle Ho about his dedication, serving the poor and those in difficult circumstances to ease the pain of the sick.”
Over the past 10 years, the Thien Truoc Holy See Management Board has organized a combined Eastern and Western medical charity clinic that has examined and provided free medicine to more than 67,000 patients, with a total value of more than 1.5 billion VND.
Ms. Dao Thi My Huong in Truong Thanh commune said: “Along with Western medicine treatment, I went to the acupuncture clinic and my leg pain was relieved and I could walk easily. Thanks to this clinic, poor people can get treatment without spending money. Everyone here serves patients happily and wholeheartedly, so people feel secure coming to see a doctor and receive treatment.” Because of this dedication, more and more people come to the clinic for treatment and volunteer to serve.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tam, a member of the Can Tho City Acupuncture Association, confided: “My house is in Cai Khe ward. Three times a week, I drive to the clinic to participate in acupuncture. Seeing people recover quickly makes me very happy.”
Studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh, the Management Board of Thien Truoc Holy See organizes many humanitarian charity activities, contributing to the good implementation of social security policies. Mr. Nguyen Duy Ri, Head of the Management Board of Thien Truoc Holy See, informed: "President Ho Chi Minh taught that we must love people, first of all, love the people, the poor. The members of the Management Board have integrated lectures to mobilize followers to study and follow Uncle Ho through practical actions: actively working in production, developing the family economy to have conditions to contribute to social charity activities; well implementing the Party's policies, the State's policies and laws; actively participating in patriotic emulation movements launched by the locality...".
Over the past 10 years, the Management Board of Thien Truoc Holy See has also coordinated with units to organize medical examinations, provide medicine, and give gifts to thousands of people affected by natural disasters and in difficult areas, with a total value of 640 million VND; organize gift distribution to poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households with a total value of more than 1 billion VND; build houses and support the construction of 11 charity houses, build roads with a total value of 400 million VND; support the purchase of health insurance for households in difficult circumstances, give gifts to poor but studious students worth 60 million VND; organize medical examinations and give gifts to people in the Central region affected by storms and floods with a total value of 1.5 billion VND. Since the beginning of 2024, Thien Tam vegetarian restaurant has served hundreds of free meals every morning.
During the summer holidays, the Thien Truoc Holy See Management Board organizes a cultural, ritual, and moral training course for students. This activity has been maintained for many years, currently there are 70 students studying Math and English from grade 1 to grade 12. Nguyen Quoc Anh from O Mon ward, shared: “I am preparing to go to grade 12. I participated in 3 summer courses. Teachers taught me Math, English, life skills, and games. At the end of the course, my friends and I went on a tour of Ha Tien and Bac Lieu, it was so much fun.”
With the motto of "Good life, beautiful religion", "The country is glorious, the religion is bright", the Management Board of Thien Truoc Holy Temple has aroused the spirit of volunteerism in believers as well as society to join hands in many charitable social activities, helping many people overcome difficulties and improve their lives.
