Spreading Petrovietnam's love in the journey back to the source in Quang Ngai

On August 10, the journey to the source "Spreading Petrovietnam's affection for the homeland's sea and islands" organized by the Veterans Association of Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group (Petrovietnam) in coordination with the Truong Sa Petroleum Club visited and worked at Dung Quat Oil Refinery. Within the framework of the program, the delegation offered incense and flowers at two typical "red addresses" of Quang Ngai province: the Memorial Site of the late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong and the Tomb of patriot Huynh Thuc Khang.

On the side of Truong Sa Petroleum Club, there were comrade Nguyen Hung Dung - Hero of Labor, Vice President of the Central Committee of Vietnam Petroleum Association, Chairman of Truong Sa Petroleum Club; former leaders of Petrovietnam, Petrovietnam Veterans Association through the periods, members of Petrovietnam Veterans Association, representatives of delegates from member units who are members of Truong Sa Petroleum Club.

On the side of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company ( BSR ), there was comrade Khuong Le Thanh - Member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the BSR Veterans Association; comrades in the functional departments and members of the BSR Veterans Association.

On the morning of August 10, the journey to the source "Spreading Petrovietnam's affection" of the Petrovietnam Veterans Association and Truong Sa Petroleum Club visited and worked at Dung Quat Oil Refinery. Here, comrade Khuong Le Thanh - Member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the BSR Veterans Association shared information on the Company's operations and production and business results. In the first half of 2025, Dung Quat Oil Refinery produced more than 3.84 million tons of products (exceeding the plan by 16%). Thereby, bringing revenue to BSR of more than VND 69.4 trillion (exceeding the plan by 22%), pre-tax profit is estimated at more than VND 800 billion (exceeding the plan by 96%) and contributing to the State budget more than VND 7.3 trillion (exceeding the plan by 13%).

“In the past time, under the close direction of ministries, branches, Quang Ngai province and Petrovietnam leaders, BSR has managed and operated Dung Quat Refinery safely, stably, effectively and in compliance with environmental safety regulations. BSR has also successfully completed its production and business plans. Most recently, BSR has been honored to be among the top units that have exceeded the Group's management targets on output and revenue. This is also the driving force and momentum for BSR to strive to successfully complete the targets for the last 6 months of the year. At the same time, we will also focus on and strive to achieve the targets in the Resolution of the 7th Congress of Delegates of the Party Committee of Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Company, term 2025 - 2030”, said Mr. Thanh.

He also briefly informed about the results at the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group Party Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term. In which, BSR's contribution plays an important role. He hopes that BSR will continue to closely follow the Resolution of the Congress, put it into practice to contribute to the Group's sustainable development goals.

During the program, the delegation also visited Dung Quat Oil Refinery to learn about the production process and management and operation. The tour not only helped the delegation members better understand the stature and role of Dung Quat Oil Refinery in ensuring national energy security, but also contributed to strengthening the bond and sharing of experiences between generations of workers throughout Petrovietnam.

Within the framework of the program, the delegation also visited and offered flowers and incense at the Memorial Site of Prime Minister Pham Van Dong. This is where many precious images, documents and artifacts about the life and career of the talented leader, excellent diplomat and excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh are kept. The memorial site was built on an area of ​​over 4 hectares, including many items such as an exhibition house, a memorial area, a green campus... vividly recreating the image of a man who devoted his life to the country and the people. This is an opportunity to pay tribute and commemorate the great contributions of the late Prime Minister Pham Van Dong, while helping each member of the delegation review traditions, fostering pride and a will to contribute.

Huynh Thuc Khang was respected by the people not only for his talent, integrity, but also for his steadfast heart towards the people and the country.
