Expectations for new development space

Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho and Hoa Binh are facing an important moment, preparing to enter a historical period, when 3 provinces merge to create a new Phu Tho province with geo-economic, strategic location, and full of development potential. Especially when the strengths of each locality are promoted, complementing each other, helping the new province have the position and strength to become a dynamic economic center of the capital region.

Perfect complementarity and support

If Vinh Phuc is emerging as one of the prominent industrial growth poles in the Northern region, Phu Tho and Hoa Binh provinces are localities that are strongly developing in agriculture , spiritual tourism, and resort tourism with great potential.

In particular, Phu Tho area, where there is a cultural - historical - spiritual center (Hung Temple), fruit gardens, large tea hills, a growing processing industry and abundant labor resources; Hoa Binh area, where there is a hydroelectric plant, providing sustainable energy sources, potential for eco -tourism - resorts - unique ethnic cultures (Muong, Thai, Dao...) with strong national identity.

Looking back at the development process, all three started from purely agricultural provinces, but thanks to the right development strategies, daring to think and act, the localities gradually broke down barriers, bringing the economy up with effective levers.

With a strongly developed industry, including high-tech industries such as: Automobile and motorbike manufacturing, electronic components manufacturing, semiconductors, etc., synchronous infrastructure, 29 planned industrial parks (IPs) are on the rise, Vinh Phuc area will be the economic locomotive of the new province. Because, after the merger, businesses in Vinh Phuc area no longer have to struggle to find solutions regarding land and labor force.

Head of the Management Board of Industrial Parks of Vinh Phuc province, Hoang Long Bien, shared: With flexibility in attracting investment and a spirit of readiness to work side by side with investors, Vinh Phuc has quickly risen.

Starting out as a purely agricultural province with a budget revenue of less than 100 billion VND, after more than 27 years, Vinh Phuc has joined the group of localities leading in budget revenue, with an outstanding number of FDI and DDI enterprises. However, with the rapid industrialization, enterprises in Vinh Phuc have begun to face many challenges as land funds are increasingly limited and the labor force is increasingly scarce.

The new province has an area of ​​over 9,361 km2 and a population of over 4 million people, which will provide necessary resources and effectively resolve the bottlenecks that Vinh Phuc's investing enterprises are facing. These are also new advantages and opportunities for the new province to make a breakthrough in attracting investment, developing industry, and becoming an ideal destination for the world's leading corporations and enterprises.

The new Phu Tho province will be a land full of potential, rich in cultural traditions, with many opportunities to break through in the new era, in the era of national development. The combination of the three provinces of Vinh Phuc, Phu Tho and Hoa Binh will create an economic zone of sufficient scale, among the top in the country, with more abundant comprehensive resources, more diverse industries, thereby being competitive enough to attract large-scale, high-tech investment projects from leading domestic and foreign corporations that each individual locality previously had difficulty meeting.

Golden opportunity before historical milestone

In the scientific workshop to collect comments on the draft Document to be submitted to the Phu Tho Provincial Party Congress (after the merger) on the socio-economic field with the theme "Identifying the potential and development orientation of Phu Tho province in the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2050", many economic experts and delegates pointed out that the new province needs to take science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and the private economy as the main driving force and main resource for economic growth, contributing to growth by 55-60% in 2030; striving for the contribution of the digital economy to reach 30% of GRDP or more.

That shows that the new provincial government has high expectations for the private economic sector, which is considered the center of development. When new industrial, agricultural, and service tourism axes are formed, economic corridors, industrial zones, high-tech agricultural zones, and continuous tourism routes with many typical tourism products will be designed and operated scientifically, making the most of the available advantages of each area.

In particular, internal traffic connections will have the opportunity to develop to new heights, when investment resources are maximized, the connection between the province's main roads with the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, future high-speed railways are developed, the connecting axes in the province will become strong regional arteries, promoting economic growth.

Project Development Director of Vina - CPK Joint Stock Company, Trinh Van Quang (infrastructure investor of Ba Thien II Industrial Park (Binh Xuyen) said: Entering the new phase, businesses also need to have careful and thorough preparation, be ready for new opportunities, take advantage of the government's support, thereby maximizing the advantages of the new province after the merger.

Infrastructure investors hope that the new provincial government system will continue to accompany and share with infrastructure investment enterprises and secondary investors. With the experience and success that Vinh Phuc has achieved in the past in attracting investment and developing green industry, CPK believes that the new province will bring a new, attractive environment, rich in potential, and room for development for infrastructure investors and enterprises wishing to invest in the province.

It can be seen that the development of supporting and high-tech industries will be concentrated in Vinh Phuc and suitable areas; the construction of organic agricultural areas and the application of high technology in Hoa Binh and Phu Tho; the comprehensive exploitation of tourism from cultural heritage (Hung Temple) to natural landscapes (Hoa Binh Lake, caves, ethnic villages) and resort tourism will be the long-term orientation of the new province.

The energy sector (especially renewable energy) and logistics will also be promoted, thereby creating a comprehensive ecosystem for economic development for the new Phu Tho province. Economic development along with expectations for new spaces will be the basis for the people of the three provinces to aim for prosperity and civilization, making the new Phu Tho province a livable place.
