Turn history into a living experience

Patriotism is not only found in historical lessons, but is also continued and vividly demonstrated through each generation. If the previous generation expressed patriotism through blood, perseverance and sacrifice, the young generation of the 4.0 era affirms that sentiment through intelligence, creativity and the power of technology. In other words, the patriotism of young people has been clearly demonstrated, going beyond traditional ceremonies to spread strongly on cyberspace and in real life.

Instead of just receiving history through books, the young generation has proactively learned and spread historical values in a creative way. Looking back, on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30), the image of young people lining up in front of the gate of the Vietnam Military History Museum and visiting the Independence Palace moved many people.

In the past few days, in the jubilant atmosphere of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, many people have dressed up in traditional costumes such as Ao Dai or red flag shirts with yellow stars to "check-in" at Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters... These historical sites not only preserve the memories of the nation, but are also places for the younger generation to connect with the past and honor the values left by their ancestors. They come not only to take photos, but also to learn, contemplate and share historical stories with the community.

In particular, it has become a popular trend among young people on the occasion of the National Day on September 2nd. On every road and every destination, many young people have "checked in" with the national flag to show their patriotism. The streets and alleys filled with the red flag with yellow star have been widely shared on social networks.

Spreading Vietnamese values on cyberspace

Patriotism, especially among young people in the 4.0 era, is clearly expressed on digital platforms with positive trends. Videos "transformed" with traditional costumes, images of military parades and marches have spread strongly, creating a vibrant atmosphere of national pride.

It can be said that patriotism in the digital age is not only expressed through courageous actions or strong voices, but also through practical and close-to-home creations. From protecting national sovereignty to bringing history alive in modern life, the younger generation is playing an important role in preserving the past and building the future.

Many young people have become "digital cultural ambassadors" by producing videos about Vietnamese cuisine, landscapes, people, or short documentaries on TikTok and YouTube. They not only spread the beauty of the country but also contribute to fighting and refuting false information about history.

It can be said that the 4.0 era brings many opportunities for young people to express their patriotism, through taking advantage of the power of technology. Under the influence of media and social networks, the good traditional values of the nation and actions expressing patriotism, meaningful videos have been and are being spread more strongly.

Patriotism is not just about pride, but also about practical actions to build the country. Many young people’s startup projects focus on solving social problems, developing smart tourism, or promoting Vietnamese agricultural products to the world. They love their country by contributing to economic development and raising the country’s position in the international arena.

Volunteer and charity campaigns are also organized on social networking platforms. Young people use technology to call for donations, connect people in difficult circumstances with philanthropists, and demonstrate the spirit of "mutual love" of the nation.

It can be seen that since the celebration of the nation’s major holidays, the way Vietnamese people, especially the young, express their patriotism has changed significantly. With their creativity and ability to connect, the young generation has proven that they not only continue but also enrich the nation’s patriotic flame. Their patriotism is a strong flow, in different ways.

The young generation of Vietnam is asserting their role as passionate cultural creators, breathing new life into traditional values. If cyberspace is where they express their appreciation through “likes” and shares, then real life is where they express their creativity through concrete actions.

In the digital age, young people have integrated national spirit into modern media products, creating creative works that both bear their personal mark and honor traditional values. Besides the "check-in" moments with the national flag, trends such as "Flag in the eyes - Fatherland in the heart" once caused a fever, the passionate drawings on the roof, or the artistic transformation videos with the music "Continue the story of peace" have become creative ways to express feelings for the homeland and country.

These contents not only attract millions of interactions on social media platforms, but also create a unique cultural phenomenon, where the young generation expresses national pride in a unique and new way.

These days in Hanoi, the heroic atmosphere of the 2/9 National Day spreads throughout the streets. Tens of thousands of people waited for hours to witness the first rehearsal for the parade at Ba Dinh Square, the red flag with yellow star shining brightly. It seems that everyone feels proud to wear the sacred red shirt, join the crowd, and share the national pride.

Patriotism from small things

People often think that patriotism is something grand and great; it is taking up arms and going to war, it is dedicating one's whole life to the Fatherland, it is making resounding achievements. However, in today's ordinary life, patriotism is expressed in the simplest and most sincere way, starting from the small, everyday actions of each of us.

Patriotism is sometimes just the act of picking up a piece of trash on the side of the road, or collecting trash around where you sit. No matter where you are, in your own country or in a foreign place, that action shows pride and love for your homeland, so that every place you go through bears a beautiful mark of the Vietnamese people.

Patriotism is living kindly, becoming better every day. Kindness is not something too big, but civilized and polite gestures in life. That is when you do not run red lights, do not cut in line, know how to say "thank you" to a seller, a driver. That is when you help, share difficulties with people around you. A kind Vietnam starts with young people who live uprightly, honestly, and responsibly. Because each of those small actions will spread positive energy.

Patriotism is also about sharing and caring. That feeling is shown through our donations to help people in flood-hit areas, or supporting Cuban people in difficulty, it does not need to be a large sum of money, it just needs to come from the heart and empathy. It shows that, no matter what the circumstances, the spirit of "mutual love" of the Vietnamese people always exists and lives forever.

Moreover, patriotism is not just about words, but concrete actions. It is not only about resounding victories in history, but also about the efforts of each individual to make the country better every day. From the smallest and simplest things, we have been building a civilized and proud Vietnam.
