Carbon markets are an important policy tool for countries to realize their commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Lessons from carbon market development in pioneering countries around the world are important suggestions for Vietnam to refer to, ensuring both suitability to the domestic context and meeting the requirements of global integration.
The seminar “International experience in developing carbon markets and some recommendations for Vietnam” not only introduced carbon market models of some prominent countries and economic regions, but also helped suggest and make recommendations for Vietnam in the process of building and developing the domestic carbon market.
The program was attended by Dr. Nguyen Sy Linh, Head of Climate Change Department, Institute of Strategy and Policy on Agriculture and Environment (ISPAE), Ministry of Agriculture and Environment .

The program is part of the Talk GreenBiz - Green Growth Compass series initiated by the Green Future Fund, aiming to raise awareness and action capacity of Vietnam in response to the requirement of forming a domestic carbon market, meeting the requirements of integration.
