Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 6815/CD-BCT dated September 8, 2024 of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on strengthening market inspection and supervision after the impact of storm No. 3, the Provincial Market Management Department requested its affiliated Market Management Teams to strengthen market inspection and control to ensure stable prices of goods, prevent the situation of taking advantage of natural disasters to speculate, hoard, hoard goods, and unreasonably increase prices in the whole province.

Market Management Team No. 3 has increased inspection and control of goods to prevent taking advantage of natural disasters in Ha Hoa, Thanh Ba and Doan Hung districts.

Through actual inspections at supermarkets, markets, and general stores, the demand for goods in recent days of people in the province has tended to increase, focusing on some essential goods and necessities such as: green vegetables, fresh food, instant noodles, cooking oil, seasoning powder... However, the market of goods basically meets the needs of the people, there is no phenomenon of speculation, hoarding, or sudden price increases.

The provincial Market Management Department continues to direct the Market Management Teams to strengthen local management, apply professional measures to verify information, monitor, and promptly detect unusual developments of goods circulating on the market, especially for food, foodstuffs, gasoline, essential goods and goods serving construction repair, electrical and electronic repair, machinery, equipment and household appliances.

Strengthen market inspection and control, strictly handle violations related to prices, commodity speculation, creating commodity shortages to raise prices, and illegal profiteering; resolutely prevent hoarding and price gouging to ensure price stability, supply and demand of all commodities.

Maintain a 24/7 duty regime, promptly report daily on the market situation, inspection and control work to promptly identify new acts and tricks of violating commercial law that may arise in stormy and flood weather conditions. At the same time, coordinate with the Management Board of markets, supermarkets, establishments and business households to remind and propagate to business organizations and individuals not to take advantage of natural disasters such as storms and floods to speculate, hoard goods, and unreasonably increase prices.
