Do not let traffic jams last long at ongoing projects.

Recently, many investment projects for construction and repair of traffic works in Ho Chi Minh City have been implemented quickly, contributing to improving urban infrastructure. However, coordination between specialized management agencies is still lacking, leading to prolonged traffic congestion, affecting people's lives and economic activities such as: repairing expansion joints of Long Thanh bridge on Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, or constructing Tan Van intersection of Ring Road 3 project.

Faced with this situation, on the afternoon of August 12, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong issued a document conveying the direction of the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requesting the People's Committees of Dong Nai , Tay Ninh, and Lam Dong provinces to direct their subordinate management units to proactively and promptly provide information on traffic projects planned to be implemented on the routes connecting to Ho Chi Minh City. This is to help the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction coordinate synchronously in organizing traffic, minimizing the impact on inter-regional traffic.

The document also requested the Road Management Area IV and the Vietnam Expressway Corporation to closely coordinate with the Department of Construction and the Ho Chi Minh City Police to unify the traffic organization plan before construction, ensuring smooth and safe traffic and improving the efficiency of project implementation.

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction and the Ho Chi Minh City Police to regularly coordinate with relevant specialized agencies, proactively deploy solutions to ensure traffic order and safety, regulate and divide traffic reasonably, and provide timely information on the media to minimize impacts on people during the construction process.

This directive aims to improve coordination between units, ensure infrastructure projects are implemented on schedule, and keep urban and inter-regional traffic safe and smooth.
