Prosecution of 2 subjects for "Illegal printing, issuance, and trading of invoices and documents for payment to the State budget"

On August 24, the Provincial Police Investigation Agency (Department of Investigation Police on Crimes of Corruption, Economy, Smuggling, and Environment) announced that it had issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and prohibit leaving the place of residence for Pham Tan Linh (born in 1990, residing in Phu Cuong B Hamlet, Cho Vam Commune) and Vo Quoc Viet (born in 1991, residing in Phu Loi Hamlet, Phu Lam Commune), to investigate the act of "Illegal printing, issuance, and trading of invoices and documents for payment to the State budget".

Initial investigation results determined that from October 2, 2017 to September 11, 2018, Vo Quoc Viet illegally purchased and provided Pham Tan Linh with 80 fake value-added invoices, without accompanying goods and services from 3 companies, including: 75 invoices from Anh Hung Auto Company Limited, 3 invoices from Minh Anh Auto Transportation and Maintenance Company Limited, 2 invoices from Hoang Phat Auto Transportation and Maintenance Company Limited. These invoices were used to issue to a business, with a total value of goods and services before tax of more than 355 million VND; VAT of more than 35.5 million VND; total payment of nearly 391 million VND.

The invoice purchase amount is from 4 - 5% of the value stated on the invoice, equivalent to about 17.3 million VND, to legalize the payment procedure for purchasing goods (auto parts), additives and services.

Currently, the Police Department investigating crimes of corruption, economy , smuggling, and environment is continuing to expand the investigation to clarify violations and handle them according to the provisions of law.

The police force recommends that organizations and individuals absolutely do not participate in or assist in the illegal printing, issuance, and trading of invoices and documents for payment to the State budget. This is a violation of the law, causing budget losses and will be strictly handled according to regulations.
