On July 9, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Vietnam Advertising Association jointly held a press conference to launch the Vietnam Creative Advertising Awards (Van Xuan Awards 2025).
This is an annual award to honor excellent advertising ideas with practical application value, defining the identity of the Vietnamese advertising industry.
In his opening speech, journalist and director Nguyen Truong Son, Chairman of the Vietnam Advertising Association and co-Chairman of the Organizing Committee, affirmed that Van Xuan Awards has truly created more motivation, wings, and realized ideas for the Vietnamese advertising industry to accelerate and break through, creating an important foundation in the cultural industry development strategy, and soon realizing the Project to build and promote the national brand: "Vietnam Creative Advertising Awards" for the period 2020-2030 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism .

The works participating in the award must ensure the following general criteria: Having new, unique and impressive creative ideas; conveying messages clearly, easily understood, easily remembered and effectively; having high quality images and sounds and creating good sensory effects; highlighting and recalling product and brand images; promoting a sense of responsibility towards the environment and the community; deeply expressing cultural elements, customs and ethics of the Vietnamese people.
Over the years, the Awards have attracted more than 2,200 entries, bringing together about 400 brands, nearly 200 creative experts, and millions of views on media platforms and channels. Many advertising works bear a strong Vietnamese imprint, spreading good values in the community.
In 2025, the Award continues to position its innovative, new and proud national values, opening up a journey to find national identity through a creative lens with the spirit of "Pride of Vietnam."
Mr. Nguyen Truong Son believes that this spirit is not only a national cultural heritage but also a source of emotional energy, touching the hearts of the public and reflecting the rhythm of modern life, so that each work not only conveys the brand message, but also contributes to telling a beautiful story about a modern, profound and vibrant Vietnam.
In 2025, the Award will continue to be implemented with a series of activities from July to December 2025 such as launching the award, specialized seminars, exchange discussions, experiential exhibitions, product displays, advertising technology introductions, art performances, and career counseling.

At the event, Ms. Ninh Thi Thu Huong, Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture, Family and Library (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ) said that AI technology and creative advertising trends are developing strongly, but the advertising industry needs certain limits to ensure the authenticity and appropriateness of products.
Director Ninh Thi Thu Huong affirmed that the Organizing Committee always focuses on carefully checking the products participating in the contest. In the past 2 seasons, no product violated the regulations or caused controversy. This is one of the important factors to ensure the quality of participating advertising products.
Ms. Thu Huong said that the advertising of fake, poor quality goods and the exaggeration of quality have become a burning issue, especially on social media platforms in recent times. The Award's Jury includes prestigious domestic and international experts, ensuring professionalism and creativity in selecting and evaluating the products.
At the launching program, the Award Organizing Committee signed a memorandum of understanding on media cooperation with 6 news agencies, newspapers and media: Electronic Information Portal of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Marketing and Family Magazine, Vietnam Travel Magazine, TikTok Vietnam, TheAnh 28 Entertainment Channel, Zalo Video./.
The Vietnam Creative Advertising Awards - Van Xuan Awards 2025 has an award structure including 52 categories to honor individuals/collectives with creative ideas and outstanding contributions to the Vietnamese Advertising industry.
Accordingly, Van Xuan Classic (10 awards): Honors outstanding creative advertising campaigns with influence on television commercials; outdoor billboards and signs; online newspaper and social media platforms, including 1 Grand Prix Award for Best Advertising.
Van Xuan (39 awards): Honoring Marketing campaigns, Brands, Agencies, Production Houses and talents in the advertising industry.
Van Xuan Stars (3 awards): Honoring outstanding projects for young talents nationwide, encouraging students to bring creative ideas closer to reality.
The time to open the portal to receive entries is from the date of announcement until October 20, 2025. Selection and evaluation of entries for the final round will be from October 30 to November 10, 2025. The summary and award ceremony is expected to be held in Ho Chi Minh City on December 19-20-21, 2025.
