Difficulties surround Binh Dinh Club: Difficult schedule, can they stay in the league?

Among the three teams that are racing to avoid relegation, Binh Dinh Club is the team that is at the greatest disadvantage.

Binh Dinh Club struggles

Binh Dinh FC failed to take advantage of the make-up match against Hanoi Police FC (CAHN CLB) to advance. Despite the opponent missing 4 key players (Quang Hai, Nguyen Filip, Quang Vinh, Viet Anh) and only fielding a reserve team, coach Tran Minh Chien and his team still lost 1-5 at home in Quy Nhon.

Binh Dinh FC is still ranked 13th with 21 points. Da Nang FC is at the bottom of the table, also with 21 points but is temporarily ranked behind Binh Dinh due to a lower goal difference. SLNA is ranked 12th with 23 points.

The heavy defeat against CAHN Club shows the reality of the team from Vo land this season: foreign players are too weak, the force is thin and old, leading to limited internal strength, playing style and courage.

When taking over Binh Dinh Club, Coach Tran Minh Chien turned to many tactical options, along with boosting morale. However, because the number of people in his hands was only... that much, plus the fact that Coach Tran Minh Chien had been away from V-League for too long (3 years) before returning, the task of salvaging the "sinking ship" seemed to be too much for the coach who once led U.16 Vietnam.

Not only is it difficult in terms of player quality and form, Binh Dinh FC is also the team with the heaviest schedule. In the last two rounds, Mac Hong Quan and his teammates have to play away at Ho Chi Minh City FC (round 25) and return home to welcome Hanoi FC (round 26).

Both of Binh Dinh's opponents are tough. Ho Chi Minh City FC is not sure of staying in the league, so it must "fight to the death" with coach Tran Minh Chien and his team in the match at Thong Nhat Stadium to win the right to stay in the V-League. With the goal of just not losing, Ho Chi Minh City FC is clearly in a more relaxed spirit, compared to Binh Dinh team who are hungry for victory.

Ho Chi Minh City FC has not won in the last 9 matches (losing 5 consecutive matches recently), however, that was the period when the "Red Battleship" encountered financial difficulties, affecting the players' morale. Currently, the difficulties have been partly resolved, helping the whole team have a better spirit to "close the book" of the relegation race.

In the final round, Binh Dinh FC will play at home in Quy Nhon, but will have to face Hanoi FC. Although in the final round, the away team Hanoi may have secured the runner-up position, Van Quyet and his teammates will not "let go", but will decide to end the season with a jubilant match. Last season, Binh Dinh FC won against Hanoi FC with a score of 4-2, but the situation is different now.

Must save yourself

On the other hand, Da Nang Club (against Ha Tinh ) and SLNA (against HAGL) both met opponents who had run out of goals in round 25, before meeting each other in round 26. If Da Nang and SLNA both win in this round, and Binh Dinh does not take all 3 points, the team from the land of Vo will be left behind.

The above scenario is very likely to happen. Ha Tinh Club is being questioned about their motivation after losing all 2 recent matches against Quang Nam and SLNA. It is difficult to blame coach Nguyen Thanh Cong and his team, when a team that has lost all its desire will find it difficult to play with 100% concentration. Against the enthusiastic Da Nang team, Ha Tinh Club will find it difficult to win.

HAGL is also sure to stay in the league since the previous round, so coach Le Quang Trai will probably send out a young team in the away match against SLNA.

Round 25 schedule

Because they still have to meet in the final round, Da Nang Club and SLNA have the right to decide, with a clear roadmap for calculating the score. As for Binh Dinh Club, the only way is to win at least 1 match (or even have to win the remaining 2 matches) to be safe.

Remember, Binh Dinh has the same number of points as Da Nang, but has a worse head-to-head record (lost both matches), so if the two teams end the season with the same number of points, Da Nang will be the team above. It is expected that Da Nang can win from 2 to 4 points in the last 2 rounds. Binh Dinh Club must win more points than that, but can they do it with their rock-bottom performance?

The plus point of Binh Dinh Club is spirit. The 1-1 draw against Thanh Hoa or 2-2 against The Cong Viettel both came from the indomitable moments of the team from the land of Vo.

Coach Tran Minh Chien's students are still playing with the mindset of fighting and hoping. That is the fuel that lights the fire for the relegation race that will be "hot" this season.
