Contributing to the overall success of the exhibition, the exhibition space of Dak Lak province is present as a highlight rich in identity and tells the story of the 80-year journey accompanying the country through images, artifacts, digital technology and lively performances by artisans.
On an area of about 500 m², the exhibition space of Dak Lak province is designed to be open, leading visitors through the entire journey of "Independence - Freedom - Happiness". More than 160 photos and a system of selected artifacts recreate the stages of development, from the years of fighting to the construction and integration process. The architectural blocks with a contemporary breath are "warmed" by brocade motifs, water wave patterns, and the symbol of the great elephant, evoking a sense that is both unique to Dak Lak and close to the public of the Capital.

In addition to the documentary layer, the “narration” becomes vivid thanks to technology. The LED sand table allows to look up new administrative maps and key projects; digital data kiosks display 3D artifacts, videos and interactive photo books; the 360° VR area takes viewers on a “spot tour” through Dray Nur waterfall, Chu Yang Sin National Park, Dien cape, Nhan tower, Da Dia reef…
Next to it is the heritage stage where the gongs, lithophones, and t'rung harmonize with xoang, bai choi, and ho ba trao melodies. In the handicraft space, visitors can weave brocade, spin sedge, mold pottery, and weave nets under the guidance of artisans. The exhibition arc ends at the main products and culinary area, where coffee, macadamia nuts, tuna, cashew nuts, etc. are introduced along with the story of the value chain, from raw materials to processing, from culture to economy.
In the general picture of the National Achievement Exhibition, with a record number of visitors and a strong media effect, Dak Lak's contribution comes from the way of "storytelling through space", leaving a deep impression in the hearts of visitors about a Dak Lak that both preserves its original values and confidently steps into innovation and integration. |
Artisan Nguyen Minh Nghiep (Long Binh village, Tuy An Bac commune) said: “For me, performing lithophone in the capital at this event is a great pride. The audience was very excited to watch and experience; many children asked to touch and play it. I hope that through the performances and experiential activities, the heritages left by our ancestors (not just lithophones) will be loved, respected even more and their values will be promoted in today's life…”.
Ms. Do Thi Lan Huong, a tourist from Phu Tho, excitedly said: “My family and I visited the exhibition booths and were really impressed with the exhibition space of Dak Lak province. In particular, the props and traditional musical instruments created by human hands made me extremely excited. In addition, the images of the Central Highlands gongs, the great forest, the elephant symbol... also left us with many deep impressions. I hope to have the opportunity to come to Dak Lak to experience directly, to feel more clearly about the land and people here...".
During the days of the exhibition, the Dak Lak province exhibition area always maintains three fixed operating hours each day (9 - 11 am; 3 - 5 pm; 7 - 9 pm) with 48 performances. The organization of "interspersing songs, interspersing professions, interspersing experiences" helps to keep the rhythm of visitors even throughout the day, creating the feeling that every time frame has something interesting to see and encourages viewers to stay longer.
“From the beginning, we determined that the Dak Lak exhibition booth would not only be a place to introduce achievements but also become a consistent and attractive cultural and information experience. From the content outline to the design, selection of artifacts, digital technology arrangement and invitation of artisans and businesses... everything was carefully done to both honor the identity and reflect the spirit of innovation and integration of the province,” said Mr. Le Phuc Long, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak.

To prepare for the exhibition, since July, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province has issued a master plan, established an Organizing Committee, clearly assigned tasks to each department and branch; signed a contract with a design unit to build a modern yet distinctive exhibition space; coordinated with Trung Nguyen Group to organize a coffee experience area; invited Miss Vietnam 2024 Ha Truc Linh as a Media Ambassador to increase the spread...
Thanks to proactive and flexible preparations, the Dak Lak exhibition space has welcomed more than 190,000 visitors. Of these, about 2,700 visitors directly participated in experiencing traditional crafts: from net weaving, sedge weaving, brocade weaving to pottery making. These figures not only reflect the appeal of the content but also show that the interactive exhibition model of "see - listen - touch - dialogue" has evoked the expectations of the modern public.
In the overall picture of the National Achievement Exhibition, with a record number of visitors and a strong media effect, Dak Lak's contribution comes from the way of "storytelling through space", leaving a deep impression in the hearts of visitors about a Dak Lak that both preserves its original values and confidently steps into innovation and integration. Thanks to that, the story of "80 years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness journey" becomes vivid, emotional and convincing to viewers.
