Inauguration of the word "O Ta Soc" on Ngoa Long Son

On September 1, the People's Committee of O Lam commune (An Giang province) held the inauguration ceremony of the "O Ta Soc" lettering project on Ngoa Long Son (Dai mountain) to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), welcoming the success of the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of O Lam commune, term 2025 - 2030.

The “O Ta Soc” lettering project was built in the Da Chai area, with a length of nearly 26m; each letter is 5m high, 4m wide, and 90cm wide. The total construction cost of the project is over 1 billion VND, funded by former Tri Ton District Party Secretary Cao Quang Liem, who mobilized Antraco Joint Venture Company Limited; Khanh Chuc One Member Co., Ltd. (Tri Ton Commune) constructed and supported part of the cost.

Chairman of the People's Committee of O Lam Commune, Phan Thanh Luong, said that the project has special significance for O Lam Commune. This is a check-in point; promoting the image, people, resistance base area, the O Ta Soc National Revolutionary Historical Relic Site, creating a local tourism highlight.

The project also aims to pay tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives, leaving behind parts of their bodies in the O Ta Soc resistance base. At the same time, it educates today's young generation to appreciate peace and independence; to devote their intelligence and efforts to building and protecting the country.
