Khanh Hoa supports 100% of tuition fees for all levels of public secondary education

The Resolution regulating tuition support policy for all students, trainees, and preschool children at the above-mentioned public schools was approved according to the proposal of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.

According to the resolution, during the 9 months of the 2024-2025 school year, Khanh Hoa province will support 100% of tuition fees for preschool children, high school students, and continuingeducation students studying at public educational institutions in the province.

This support level is implemented according to the tuition fee collection level for the 2024-2025 school year (stipulated in Resolution No. 03/2024 of the Provincial People's Council on amending and supplementing Resolution No. 13/2022 of the Provincial People's Council regulating tuition fees for public preschool and general education institutions from the 2022-2023 school year to the 2025-2026 school year in the province); the first time is to support tuition fees for 4 months in 2024 and the second time is to support tuition fees for 5 months in 2025.

Accordingly, a total of 143,332 students, trainees, and preschool children in Khanh Hoa will receive tuition support for the entire new school year (2024-2025) with a total support amount from the provincial budget of VND 75,198 billion.

Including 34,297 students studying at 33 high schools, middle schools and high schools under the Department of Education and Training of Khanh Hoa province.

The remaining 102,224 students are from secondary schools and children from public kindergartens under the management of districts, towns and cities of Khanh Hoa.

Regarding the basis for implementing tuition support for students in the whole province, according to the report of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and submitted to the Provincial People's Council, tuition exemption and support is a top priority solution and has been legalized by the State in policies to create conditions to help many students in difficult circumstances to study, contributing to promoting social justice in education.

In reality, due to the impact of natural disasters and prolonged epidemics in the past, the socio-economic situation and people's lives in Khanh Hoa still face many difficulties.

Tuition support is sharing and supporting people

In recent years, according to the province's capacity and socio-economic conditions, Khanh Hoa province has also promptly supported tuition fees for preschool children and primary school students at all levels of public schools throughout the province.

Therefore, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province proposed that the Provincial People's Council approve the above tuition support policy for students in the whole province to "timely share difficulties, support people, reduce financial burden on parents and students and minimize the situation of students dropping out of school in the new school year 2024-2025".
