Exploiting literary values associated with the relic and scenic complex of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem

The Scientific Mission Acceptance Council took a souvenir photo with the research team of Ha Long University.

The project was carried out by the research team of Ha Long University from 2023, as soon as the Government approved the policy for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to prepare a dossier to nominate the "Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Complex of Monuments and Landscapes" as a World Heritage Site to submit to UNESCO.

The content focuses on comprehensively researching and analyzing the value of the literary part associated with the relic complex and scenic spots of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac, the spiritual, historical and cultural "treasures" of the Vietnamese people.

Through an interdisciplinary approach, closely combining the study of Han Nom documents, modern literature and field surveys, the research team has highlighted the close relationship between poetry and the process of formation, development and dissemination of the value of the relic complex. Ancient poems not only vividly reflect the sacred atmosphere and majestic landscape, but also record the historical figures and important events associated with each location. Thanks to that, Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac have become "memory maps" full of vitality in the community's consciousness, helping the heritage value go beyond local boundaries to reach people across the country and international friends.

Not only does it have academic significance, the topic also provides a solid basis for heritage education in schools, compiling documents, organizing extracurricular activities, and creating a foundation for sustainable cultural tourism development.

The practical significance of the study was further confirmed when the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac Monuments and Landscape Complex (located in the provinces of Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh and Hai Phong) was recently recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage.

Overall assessment, the Acceptance Council with the participation of Associate Professors, Doctors, Masters from Ha Long University and Trade Union University, unanimously assessed the topic as having excellent quality in theory and practice. The results that the topic brings not only supplement the theoretical basis, but also promptly meet the practical requirements in the work of preserving and promoting heritage values, contributing to the orientation of sustainable cultural, educational and tourism development strategies, in line with the trend of the new era.
