This is the second time in a row that Almeria have invited Al-Nassr to play a friendly in the pre-season. Last year, coach Joan Francesc Ferrer "Rubi"'s team won 3-0 thanks to goals from Luis Suarez, Cesar Montes and an own goal from Lajami. At that time, Ronaldo was only in attendance with Aymeric Laporte at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos.

This time, CR7 is expected to take the field, meeting the Spanish audience again - where he made his name in Real Madrid. In the four previous encounters with Almeria, Ronaldo scored four goals, affirming his special scoring fate against the Andalusian team.

Alongside the Portuguese superstar, Al-Nassr will also bring a squad of great players such as Marcelo Brozovic, Otavio and Sadio Mane, under the guidance of new coach Jorge Jesus. The match will take place at 19:00 on August 10, just eight days before Almeria enter La Liga with their opening match against Albacete Balompié at home (August 18, 21:30). The highlight of the event will also be a half-time performance by famous Almería singer – RVFV.

Almeria FC has confirmed that tickets will go on sale from next Tuesday. Unlike last year, the match will no longer be called the Juan Rojas Memorial Cup. Ticket prices are set at 60 euros (back section), 90 euros (first class section) and 120 euros (main section). VIP tickets cost 250 euros, while the honorary section costs up to 400 euros. Notably, even members need to buy tickets at a discounted price of 10 euros.

This event not only marks Ronaldo's return to Spain but is also an opportunity for Almeria to show off their ambition and warm up ahead of the challenging 2025/26 season.
