Establishing a Steering Committee to resolve projects with difficulties, obstacles, and long-term backlogs in Khanh Hoa province

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision to establish a Steering Committee (SC) to resolve projects with difficulties, obstacles, and long-term backlogs in the province. The SC is headed by Mr. Tran Quoc Nam - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee are Deputy Heads; SC members are directors, heads, and leaders of departments, branches, and sectors. SC members work part-time, promote personal responsibility, and comply with the SC's Working Regulations. The Department of Finance is the Standing Body of the SC, responsible for ensuring the operating conditions of the SC, using the department's apparatus to perform the task of assisting the SC under the direction of the Head of the SC.

The tasks and powers of the Steering Committee are to study and propose to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee tasks and solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles related to backlogged and prolonged projects in the province. At the same time, assist the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in directing, inspecting and urging relevant departments and local branches to perform the following tasks: Review, clarify and summarize difficulties and obstacles related to projects under the assigned state management scope; identify the causes of difficulties and obstacles and propose solutions; direct relevant departments, branches and localities to guide and remove them according to their authority. In addition, summarize difficulties and obstacles related to projects according to specific groups of issues, determine the handling authority of relevant levels, report to the Provincial People's Committee to report to the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and the Provincial Party Standing Committee for comments and direction on implementation; Direct, urge, inspect, and summarize the settlement and removal of difficulties and obstacles related to projects under the authority of relevant departments, branches, and localities; report to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on new arising issues (if any); report to competent authorities on issues beyond their authority.
