Opening of the 16th Ninh Binh Provincial Trade Union Congress

On the morning of September 20, at the Provincial Convention Center, the solemn opening session of the 16th Ninh Binh Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2023 - 2028, with the theme "Innovation - Democracy - Solidarity - Development" took place.

Attending the opening ceremony of the Congress were Party Central Committee members: Nguyen Dinh Khang, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor ; Doan Minh Huan, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

Also attending were comrades: Mai Van Tuat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; former Standing members of the Provincial Party Committee through different periods; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; delegates representing the Boards of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; delegates leading the departments, branches, sectors, socio -political organizations of the province, the Provincial Business Association, comrades Standing members of the District Party Committee, City Party Committee; leaders of the Labor Federations of some provinces, cities and industry trade unions.

The Congress was attended by 300 delegates representing the will and aspirations of over 170,000 cadres, civil servants, union members and workers throughout the province.

Comrades: Nguyen Thi Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation Affairs Committee; Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front sent flower baskets to congratulate the Congress.

Speaking at the opening of the congress, comrade Duong Duc Khanh, member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Confederation of Labor, emphasized: The 16th Congress of Ninh Binh Trade Union has the task of summarizing 5 years of implementing the Resolution of the 15th Congress of Ninh Binh Trade Union, accurately and realistically assessing the achieved results and limitations and shortcomings; at the same time, finding out the causes of the results, limitations and shortcomings, drawing lessons, thereby determining the goals, directions and tasks of Trade Union activities in the term 2023 - 2028; participating in contributing opinions to the documents of the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union and amending the Charter of Vietnam Trade Union; electing the Executive Committee of the Provincial Confederation of Labor for the 16th term and electing the delegation to attend the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union.

This term's congress with the slogan of action "Continue to innovate the content and methods of Trade Union activities, focus on performing the representative role, caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, participating in building a strong working class; contributing to building Ninh Binh province to develop quickly and sustainably" to soon turn the policy into concrete actions, the trade union must truly be a solid bridge, an extension of the Party and State to workers, a reliable support for union members, cadres, civil servants and workers, accompanying businesses, for the life of work, for the development of agencies and businesses...

After the opening speech, the Congress listened to the report of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, term XV, 2023 - 2028.
