In Quang Ngai , on June 11, the Border Guard Command of Quang Ngai province said that the unit had informed the situation of the tropical depression (ATNĐ) strengthening into storm No. 1 (WUTIP) to ships operating at sea.
According to the Quang Ngai Provincial Border Guard Command, the province has 438 ships/4,441 fishermen operating at sea, of which 2 ships/16 fishermen are in dangerous areas.
"Currently, the Provincial Border Guard Command has directed the unit's search and rescue watchtower to coordinate with community watchtowers to maintain 24/7 communication with vehicles operating at sea, to inform about the developments of storm No. 1. Maintain 2 mobile teams with 24 officers and soldiers, 2 ships, and 3 cars to participate in the regular readiness to prevent and respond to situations at sea in order to promptly respond," informed the Quang Ngai Provincial Border Guard Command.
According to the Quang Ngai Hydrometeorological Station, due to the influence of storm No. 1, from June 11-12, the sea area of Quang Ngai (including Ly Son island district) will have showers and thunderstorms, strong northwest winds of level 6-7, gusts of level 8, waves 2-3.5 m high, rough seas; from the afternoon of June 12, waves and winds are likely to gradually decrease.

In Da Nang City , from the morning of June 11, there has been moderate and heavy rain in some areas. According to the forecast of the Central Central Hydrometeorological Station, from now until the morning of June 13, Da Nang will have rain, moderate rain, and heavy rain in some places. Total rainfall is commonly 100-200 mm, with some places over 300 mm.
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of Da Nang City has sent a telegram requesting the city's Border Guard to notify ships operating at sea about the location and direction of the storm so that they can proactively avoid, escape from dangerous areas or find safe shelter.
The functional units are also required to count, strictly manage and maintain contact with the vessels still operating at sea, instruct fishermen to take measures to anchor their vessels to avoid storms, and strengthen fire prevention and fighting. The Command Committee requires departments, branches, districts, and related units to closely monitor the situation to proactively handle possible situations.
Previously, the Standing Office for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control of Binh Dinh province said that there were 40 fishing boats of Binh Dinh fishermen in the dangerous area of the tropical depression, of which Quy Nhon city had 7 boats and Hoai Nhon town had 33 boats (mainly fishing for purse seine and tuna).
Faced with the above situation, the authorities contacted the ship owner to inform ships operating at sea of the location and direction of the tropical depression so that they could proactively avoid, escape or not move into the dangerous area.
