In terms of photography, the 16 Pro Max scored 157 points while the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra scored 169 points. Although the device is highly appreciated for its color fidelity, texture, detail, background blurring, fast and accurate autofocus, the device also has disadvantages: inconsistent details when zooming, lack of detail in ultra-wide photos, loss of focus when taking group photos, flare, ghosting or jagged edges when shooting in low light.

Although the photography ability is not highly rated, the video recording ability of the iPhone 16 Pro Max is considered the best today with 159 points (Huawei phones scored 148 points and Google Pixel 9 Pro XL scored 152 points).

It is known that the 16 Pro Max's video recording capability has the lowest noise among smartphones when shooting in low light while the image stability is the highest. The image has accurate white balance, natural color display, high level of detail and good texture in strong light conditions, fast autofocus. However, if shooting video under strong light sources, it may be flared.

Thus, overall, the 16 Pro Max scored 157 points, ranking fourth after the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra (163 points), Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and Honor Magic6 Pro (both 158 points).
