Human Rights Media Award "Happy Vietnam 2025"

On May 22, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and Vietnam Television, held a press conference to launch the annual Media Award on human rights called: "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2025".

Speaking at the press conference, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh said that the contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2025" targets a very wide range of subjects to find every happy moment in life. According to Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh, happiness, no matter from any perspective, or of an individual, is closely linked to the pride and common happiness of the country, especially in the context that we are also actively preparing towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

According to the Organizing Committee, in 2025, Vietnam will rise to 46th place in the world in terms of happiness index, up 8 places compared to 2024 and 19 places compared to 2023. This is an important milestone, demonstrating the world's recognition and appreciation of Vietnam's policies and achievements in ensuring human rights in recent years.

In that spirit, the "Happy Vietnam 2025" Award is organized to mobilize the participation of the people in the country, overseas Vietnamese and international friends in creating photos, videos or having creative ideas, telling good stories, and making meaningful discoveries on the topic of happy Vietnam.

Thereby contributing to spreading positive images of the country, Vietnamese people, the nation's precious cultural and historical traditions or the country's socio-economic development achievements to a wide audience at home and abroad, contributing to enhancing the country's prestige and position in the international arena.

Through the Award, the Organizing Committee wants to convey the message that Vietnam is moving rapidly and developing strongly and comprehensively in all fields: breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; international integration in the new situation; innovation in law-making and enforcement; rapid, sustainable, effective and high-quality private economic development.

The "Happy Vietnam 2025" Human Rights Media Award includes two categories: photo and video. General criteria for the content of the entries: introduce and promote the image of the country, Vietnamese people, cultural and natural values across the country; arouse national pride and aspirations for development among all classes of Vietnamese people to join hands to build an increasingly prosperous, prosperous and happy Vietnam. The works were created from January 1, 2023 to the time of receiving the works.

The Jury will select the award through two preliminary and final rounds, online and in person.

Regarding the award structure, each category (photo and video) has the following prizes and values: 1 First Prize of 50,000,000 VND, 2 Second Prizes of 30,000,000 VND, 3 Third Prizes of 15,000,000 VND, 10 Encouragement Prizes of 5,000,000 VND, 1 Most Voted Work Prize of 5,000,000 VND. The Organizing Committee encourages and will award 1 creative prize in each category (photo and video) worth 20,000,000 VND for works with new ideas, creativity in content and form of expression.
