The iOS 18 update was released on September 17 (Vietnam time), compatible with iPhone SE 2, iPhone SE 3, and iPhone XR and later. Four models of the iPhone 16 series will have the software pre-installed when they reach customers.
Recently, on the Reddit forum, Apple support community and technology site MacRumors, many users reported that iPhone battery drain when running iOS 18. This not only happens with old iPhones but also with the newly launched iPhone 16.
Specifically: many people regret updating iOS 18 because it causes the phone battery to drain quickly, and after a month the phenomenon continues. This causes the battery health of the device to decrease rapidly.
Some users reported that the issue improved somewhat with the iOS 18.0.1 and iOS 18.1 beta updates.
Apple has yet to comment on the matter.
