Vietnam's table tennis hopes miss out on 2024 Paris Olympics ticket

Tennis player Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh is the hope for Vietnamese table tennis at the 2024 Paris Olympics, when she reached the women's singles final of the Paris Olympics qualifying round in the Southeast Asia region.

However, Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh lost 1-4 to Zeng Jian of Singapore in the final. The scores of the sets were 7-11, 6-11, 8-11, 11-9 and 10-12 respectively.

Zeng Jian will represent Southeast Asia at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Last year, the Singaporean athlete won the women's singles gold medal at the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia.

Before Nguyen Khoa Dieu Khanh lost the women's singles final, Dinh Anh Hoang stopped in the men's singles semi-finals of the Paris Olympic qualifiers in the Southeast Asia region. The Vietnamese player lost 1-4 to Sanguansin Phakpoom of Thailand. The scores of the sets were 6-11, 7-11, 11-6, 8-11 and 12-14.
