According to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training , candidates can register, adjust and supplement their admission wishes an unlimited number of times from July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28. Registration of admission wishes for majors/programs must be done online on the Ministry of Education and Training 's General Admission Support System or indirectly through the National Public Service Portal.
Candidates' wishes must be registered by major/program and ranked from 1 to the end. Of which, wish 1 is the highest wish. Each candidate will only be admitted to 1 highest wish among the registered wishes when ensuring that they meet the admission requirements.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Thao, Director of the Department of Higher Education , Ministry of Education and Training, noted that a mistake many candidates often made in previous years when operating on the system was completing the entire process but not clicking the "Submit" button. This means that all the candidate's information is still suspended and not recorded by the system. Candidates need to pay special attention to this issue to avoid unfortunate failures.
In addition, candidates need to re-check the registered information such as citizen identification, priority subjects, priority areas, and displayed test scores (compare carefully with the original results), especially the group of candidates using foreign language certificates and school records for admission. If errors are discovered after the admission process is completed, the results will be very difficult to change.

Regarding the strategy of setting university admission wishes to increase the chance of admission, MSc. Pham Thanh Ha, Deputy Head of the Training Management Department, Foreign Trade University, noted 3 principles:
First, when placing your wishes on the Ministry of Education and Training system, you need to divide them into three different groups: The priority group is for the majors you like the most, even though the benchmark scores of previous years are higher. The next group is for majors that usually have the same benchmark scores, or a difference of about 1 point. Finally, there is the safe group, which usually takes the entrance score lower than the candidate's score.
Second, because the system does not limit the number of wishes, candidates should not place too few.
Third, you should not focus your wishes on a single school. If you love Economics and Business, you can put your wishes in the top, middle and lower groups of schools to increase your chances of being admitted to your favorite major.
After registering and adjusting university admission wishes for 2025, from July 29 to 5:00 p.m. on August 5, candidates must pay the admission fee according to the number of admission wishes online according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Training institutions will notify candidates who have passed the first round of admission from 5:00 p.m. on August 22.
After knowing the admission score, all admitted candidates (including direct admission candidates) must confirm their enrollment on the system (if they wish to study) before 5:00 p.m. on August 30.
From September 1 to December, candidates who need to apply for additional admission rounds of the training institution, follow the admission information posted on the training institution's admission information page.
