HOKA launches Mafate 5, optimizing trail running performance

HOKA® officially introduces the Mafate 5, the latest version of its iconic trail shoe. Designed for ultramarathoners conquering harsh terrain, the Mafate 5 offers comprehensive improvements in durability, flexibility and comfort, providing maximum support for long distances. The product is now available at HOKA Vietnam's authorized distributors.

The soft CMEVA underneath creates a completely different experience compared to previous generations, while redefining the traditional two-layer foam system. Thanks to that, the Mafate 5 absorbs impacts from rough terrain, adapts flexibly to the trail surface while still maintaining responsive landing and effective propulsion. The Vibram® Megagrip sole combined with 5mm lugs ensures a firm grip on all surfaces.

The upper is reinforced with 360-degree protection with a new seamless TPU frame, inspired by the UTMB Mont Blanc running map delicately depicted in the design. In particular, the Mafate 5 is the first HOKA shoe to integrate gaiter points to help runners avoid rocks, debris and maintain continuous performance.
