Scientific workshop "Biennial History of the Party Committee of Binh Thuan Province, Volume II, period 1954

BTO-On the morning of July 30, the Provincial Party Standing Committee organized a scientific workshop to contribute ideas and supplement the draft of "Binh Thuan Provincial Party Chronicle, Volume II, period 1954 - 1975". Comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Comrade Vo Thanh Binh - Member of the Standing Committee - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department co-chaired the workshop.

Also attending were former provincial leaders of all periods, experts, scientists , historical researchers, and representatives of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

Comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh - Provincial Party Secretary delivered the opening speech at the workshop.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said: The work of collecting, compiling and publishing the history of the Provincial Party Committee is one of the important political tasks, contributing to educating the local revolutionary tradition. In the past time, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has led and directed the sectors and organizations to collect, exploit documents and compile history. Up to now, the History of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee has published 3 books including: History of the Provincial Party Committee: Volume 1, period (1930 - 1954); Volume 2, period (1954 - 1975) and Volume 3, period (1975 - 2005). Localities and units have published many historical and traditional books for the period 1930 - 2012. In particular, in 2020, the Provincial Party Standing Committee published the book Chronicle of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, volume 1 (1930-1954) to welcome the 14th Congress of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, term 2020 - 2025. These books have been received, read, studied by cadres, party members and people of the province and have made an important contribution to the work of educating the revolutionary traditions of the locality.

The Provincial Party Secretary also said: In order to continue to deploy and compile the following volumes of the Provincial Party Committee's Chronicle History, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has directed the deployment, research and compilation of the book "Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee's Chronicle History, Volume 2 (1954 - 1975 period). After a period of collecting documents and deploying the compilation, the manuscript of the book "Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee's Chronicle History, Volume 2, 1954 - 1975 period" has been basically completed. Therefore, at the workshop, the Provincial Party Secretary hoped that delegates would continue to contribute their opinions on the content of this book's manuscript with the following criteria: Content related to information, data, time, location, developments, characters and results; writing style, language, presentation techniques; events reflecting the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee over the specific revolutionary movement in Binh Thuan province from 1954 - 1975; The influence and impact of that event on the history of the provincial Party Committee, the revolutionary movement of the province and on the history of the entire Party, leaving its mark in history and contributing to promoting the development of the revolution; The revolutionary struggle movement of the army and people of all ethnic groups in the province under the leadership of the Party committees at all levels, the military campaigns and battles from 1954 to 1975. And the typical historical events in districts, towns, cities, wards, communes and towns had a positive impact on the revolutionary movement of the province.

At the conference, delegates promoted their sense of responsibility and contributed many important ideas to the book manuscript.

It is known that the book Chronicle of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, Volume II (period 1954 - 1975) was directed by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to research, compile and publish to welcome the 15th Congress of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030. The work is divided into 5 historical periods with 259 events according to the actual leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, corresponding to 5 periods of the resistance war against the US, saving the country. It faithfully and vividly reflects the historical developments and processes taking place in the locality.
