Hoa Lu City Veterans Association summarizes work in the first 6 months of the year

On the morning of June 4, the Veterans Association of Hoa Lu city held a conference to review the work of the first 6 months of the year and deploy a number of key tasks in the coming time.

In the first 6 months of the year, the City Veterans Association carried out well the movements and activities of the Association ; attracted a large number of cadres and members to participate, achieving many positive results. In particular, the City Veterans Association actively participated in building and protecting the Party, the government and performing local tasks.

The Association at all levels has thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented the directives and resolutions of the Central Committee, the annual working theme of the Provincial Party Executive Committee ; launched a special emulation campaign to achieve achievements in celebration of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term; propagated and mobilized 185 young people to perform military service and public security; over 83% of members contributed comments to the draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution .

Activities to help each other develop the economy and solidarity are of interest . Currently , the Association is managing 63 savings and loan groups , helping nearly 2,000 households borrow more than 115 billion VND to develop the economy .

In the first 6 months of the year, the Association at all levels mobilized over 200 working days to help war veterans' families in difficult circumstances build new and repair houses.

Along with that, the city's cadres and members of the War Veterans Association continue to uphold the exemplary spirit, actively participate in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas with many meaningful and practical activities , contributing to the city's increasingly developed development.

At the conference , the Association of War Veterans of Hoa Lu city summarized and evaluated the implementation of the Project "Improving the activities of the City Association of War Veterans in economic development, poverty reduction and charity activities in the period 2020-2025".

Accordingly, after 8 years of implementing the Project (from 2017 to present), the whole city has mobilized funds to help members in difficult circumstances repair and build 4 houses; help 11 poor and near-poor households escape poverty and give 330 gifts to members in difficult circumstances on the occasion of holidays , Tet..., contributing to spreading the comradeship of cadres and members of the city's War Veterans Association.

On this occasion, the Association of War Veterans of Hoa Lu city presented savings books to 8 poor and near-poor members , each worth 5 million VND; and presented 34 gifts to members in difficult circumstances in the area.
