Tuition fees for journalism and communications in 2024: Highest 66 million VND/year

According to the enrollment plan for the 2024-2025 school year, the Academy of Journalism and Communication plans to collect tuition fees of VND 507,000/credit for journalism and communication majors in the general program.

This figure is equivalent to more than 22 million VND/school year.

For the majors of Professional Public Relations, Political Relations and International Communication, the tuition fee is 1.05 million VND/credit, equivalent to 46-47 million VND/school year.

However, for high-quality training programs, the tuition is 1.47 million VND/credit, equivalent to 64-66 million VND/school year.

This is also the highest tuition fee for journalism and communications at universities in the Northern region.

Coming in second place is the School of Business and Management – Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The Bachelor of Marketing and Communication program at this school has a tuition fee of 60 million VND/year.

Coming in third is the Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology. The school’s high-quality journalism and multimedia training program is expected to charge tuition fees of 39-55 million VND/school year.

The mass system alone is expected to collect 27-34 million VND/school year.

Ranked 4th is the Diplomatic Academy. This school has an expected tuition fee for the International Communication major of 45 million VND/school year.

The remaining schools have tuition fees ranging from 12-28.2 million VND/school year.

The School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts - Hanoi National University plans to charge tuition fees for the Brand Management training program at 775,000 VND/credit, equivalent to about 2.82 million VND/month and 28.2 million VND/year.

Tuition for the Digital Media major at the Faculty of International Francophone Studies, Vietnam National University, Hanoi this year is 15 million VND/academic year. However, the tuition increase schedule for the next 3 years of this major is 16.9 million VND, 19.1 million VND and 21 million VND respectively.

Hanoi University of Culture currently has the most "affordable" tuition fee of about 12-13 million VND/school year.

Specifically, the Journalism major of this school charges 384,000 VND/credit. The number of credits required to accumulate is 125. Depending on the number of credits that students register to study, the total tuition fee can be equal to or higher than 48 million VND for all 4 years of study.

This year's university and college admissions season, journalism and communications is one of the training fields with the highest benchmark scores.

To be admitted to the Journalism and Public Relations majors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi, candidates need to achieve 29.03 and 29.1 points respectively.

To be admitted to the Journalism Department of Hanoi University of Culture, candidates need to score 28.9 points.

The benchmark score for the International Communication major at the Diplomatic Academy is 29.2.

The benchmark score for the Brand Management major at the School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts is 27.83.

The average admission score for journalism, communications, and public relations majors at the Academy of Journalism and Communication is 8.9-9.4 points/subject.
