Hoang Anh Gia Lai dissolves a subsidiary

(Dan Tri) - Hoang Anh Gia Lai dissolved its subsidiary after more than 1 year of establishment due to no production or business activities.


Hoang Anh Gia Lai Joint Stock Company (stock code: HAG) approved the dissolution of its subsidiary, in which it owns 88.3% of the charter capital, Kon Thup Agriculture Joint Stock Company. This subsidiary is headquartered in Pleiku City, Gia Lai Province, and was established in December 2023.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai said the reason for dissolution was that the subsidiary did not generate any production or business activities.

This is also reflected in the company's consolidated financial statements for the third quarter of 2024. Accordingly, Kon Thup Agriculture is in the investment phase and has not yet started operating as of September 30, 2024. Hoang Anh Gia Lai has two other subsidiaries that have not yet started operating.

In the third quarter 2024 financial report, Mr. Duc's group has 7 direct subsidiaries, 6 indirect subsidiaries and 1 associated company. However, 3 subsidiaries have not started operating as mentioned above.

Hoang Anh Gia Lai has just paid VND1,030 billion in bond debt to BIDV . The group still has VND766 billion in principal debt and VND3,621 billion in accumulated unpaid interest until December 29, 2024 to this bank. The source of debt repayment is arranged by Hoang Anh Gia Lai International Agricultural Joint Stock Company (HAGL Agrico).
