Hoa Binh prosecutes and temporarily detains the Director of the Land Registration Office of Yen Thuy district

The Investigation Police Agency of Hoa Binh Province Police has just issued a Decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain Trinh Hung Cuong, born in 1987, Director of the Branch of the Land Registration Office of Yen Thuy District, Hoa Binh Province, for the crime of receiving bribes as prescribed in Clause 2, Article 354 of the 2015 Penal Code.

Previously, the Investigation Police Agency of Hoa Binh Province Police issued an emergency search warrant for Trinh Hung Cuong's workplace and residence, seizing bribery evidence and many other evidences related to the case.

The initial investigation determined that, based on his assigned position and authority, Trinh Hung Cuong violated the law to "harass" and "extort" households and individuals, forcing them to pay "grease money" to have administrative procedures related to land resolved.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of Hoa Binh Provincial Police is investigating and expanding the case according to the provisions of law.
