Head coach of Vietnam Futsal Team makes a strong statement before the 2024 Asian Futsal Championship

Coach Diego Giustozzi said: “Up to now, my players are ready and the whole team is focused on the opening match against Myanmar. Everyone is calm, looking forward to the upcoming challenges with high determination. We have prepared carefully for technical and tactical issues with calculations for each upcoming opponent. I am very happy, satisfied and calm with the whole team waiting for the challenge.”

“The first match against Myanmar will be a very difficult match for any team, not only the Vietnam futsal team but also the Myanmar futsal team. Our first opponent has a very good defensive counter-attacking style of play, so we must have clever calculations to read the situation as well as apply our playing style in the upcoming match. In my opinion, this will be an even match. It is predicted that the Myanmar futsal team will defend low and wait for the opportunity to counter-attack,” said coach Diego Giustozzi.

Evaluating the overall goal of the Vietnam futsal team at the 2024 AFC Futsal Championship, coach Diego Giustozzi said: “The whole team is ready with tactics to face the upcoming opponents. Of course, we cannot win in one minute, two minutes or a few situations, but must maintain the highest concentration for the whole match. The whole team is very confident and motivated to play well against Myanmar. I think that in addition to the goal of entering the World Cup, which is a great motivation, competing with strong opponents at the continental level is also a good opportunity for us to improve. We are confident in what we have practiced, and believe in the results after what we have prepared.”

At the 2024 AFC Futsal Championship, the Vietnam Futsal Team is in Group A with Myanmar, China, and host Thailand, and will meet the above opponents on April 17, April 19, and April 21. Before the opening match, on the morning of April 15, the AFC held a technical meeting with the leaders of the teams participating in the 2024 AFC Futsal Championship. According to the priority, the Vietnam Futsal Team chose the traditional red color for the opening match.
