The Chinese women's volleyball team once again made fans' hearts skip a beat with their dreamlike performance.

On the evening of August 26, the Chinese women's volleyball team won a relatively hard-fought victory over Colombia. The final score of this match was 3-1, with the scores of the sets being 25-16, 23-25, 25-14, 25-16.

The second set was the time when the Asian team played surprisingly poorly. They made many mistakes, lacked concentration and lost points easily.

In one of those, main attacker Zhuang Yushan made a ridiculous mistake at the crucial moment. Her "gift" of a point helped Colombia turn the tables to win the second set 25-23 in a surprising way.

This made coach Zhao Yong unhappy. During the preparation for set 3, he did not let the athletes rest.

Instead, the strategist born in 1975 shouted right on the field. The image of him getting angry and venting his anger on his students was easily seen on television cameras. Many athletes even showed signs of shyness and fear before Mr. Zhao Yong's loud voice.

Fortunately, the Chinese women's volleyball team regained their confidence and won the final match. But so far, they have not been able to reassure their fans.

As a candidate for the championship, the Chinese team lost silly sets against Mexico and Colombia in recent matches.

Chinese newspaper M.163 translated what coach Zhao Yong shouted at the players after set 2: "I don't understand why you have to be so timid! You have to move forward."

Perhaps this paper only translates part but not all of what Mr. Zhao Yong said.

After the match, he also shared: "Losing in set 2 was a huge mistake on our part as we gave our opponents easy opportunities. The whole team's defense suddenly collapsed, with mistakes in many areas such as the first step, blocking and attacking. But in sets 3 and 4, things improved."

After two victories, the Chinese women's volleyball team has secured a place in the round of 16 of the 2025 Volleyball World Championship taking place in Thailand. But what they have shown recently is not really convincing enough.
