The effectiveness of the campaign "Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address"

“Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address” is a large-scale campaign launched by the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRC) Central Committee since 2008. In order for the campaign to be widely implemented, provincial Red Cross societies at all levels have organized many meaningful, practical, and effective programs and activities to help families in especially difficult circumstances, the poor, and the disadvantaged.

The Provincial Red Cross Society gives gifts to the poor and people in difficult circumstances at the launching ceremony of Humanitarian Month 2025.

To implement the campaign, the Provincial Red Cross Association at all levels has closely coordinated with departments, branches, sectors, and organizations to widely propagate the purpose and meaning of the campaign, thereby calling on organizations, individuals, agencies, units, businesses, and people of all walks of life to actively participate and respond; to propagate integratedly in conferences, seminars, hang banners, slogans, and distribute leaflets; to survey people in difficult circumstances to create profiles of addresses in need of help, and introduce surveyed addresses to units and individuals with a kind heart to register and provide long-term, sustainable assistance... From the beginning of 2025 to present, the Provincial Red Cross Association has surveyed and created profiles of hundreds of addresses, assisting 545 addresses, worth over 1.5 billion VND. These addresses are mostly victims of Agent Orange, lonely elderly people with no place to rely on, children in difficult circumstances, people with disabilities, poor students overcoming difficulties, poor households, households in especially difficult circumstances... In which, the Provincial Association coordinated with Thien Tam Fund ( Vingroup ) to implement the program "Vingroup Scholarship Fund", supporting 968.3 million VND for 157 people, including 27 students in the districts: Giao Thuy, Hai Hau, Nam Truc, Vu Ban, Xuan Truong, Y Yen and Nam Dinh city, worth over 695 million VND; supporting 130 students in the province, worth 273 million VND. In addition, the Nam Dinh City Red Cross Association, the districts: Nam Truc, Hai Hau, Giao Thuy, Nghia Hung, Xuan Truong mobilized organizations and individuals to regularly support 388 addresses with a total value of over 557 million VND. In particular, the Giao Thuy District Red Cross Association mobilized Giao Thuy Industry and Trade Joint Stock Company, the District Department of Education and Training, the Party Bloc's Trade Union, Tien Chuong Pagoda (Giao Chau), Giao An Commune Red Cross Association, Ha Cat Pagoda (Hong Thuan), and the District Mother Goddess Heritage Association to support 19 addresses. Hai Hau District mobilized 20 groups and 10 individuals to regularly support 112 addresses, worth 99.2 million VND. Nam Truc District mobilized Venerable Thich Dieu Minh, abbot of Tho Tung Pagoda (Nam Hung), to support 8 addresses. Venerable Thich Thanh Quang, abbot of Roi Pagoda - Nam Duong and sponsors helped Mr. Vu Van Lai, Co Lung village, Binh Minh commune. Nghia Hung District mobilized Dan Phuong Hanoi Club to support Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngat, hamlet 1, Nghia Lam commune with 4.2 million VND; the Loving Women's Club and the Nghia Hai Commune Red Cross Association supported 1 student. Nam Dinh City mobilized organizations and individuals to support 91 addresses, worth over 194 million VND. The Red Cross Association of Xuan Truong District called on and mobilized groups and individuals to support 155 addresses...

Along with establishing humanitarian address records, the Red Cross Association at all levels in coordination with units and philanthropists also implements many activities to support the poor, the disabled, Agent Orange victims, poor students overcoming difficulties, the disadvantaged, policy families with difficult circumstances... The main forms of assistance are monthly support in cash, granting scholarships, visiting, giving gifts on holidays and Tet, supporting production capital for economic development. Along with the activities to help the right subjects and addresses, the Association at all levels also builds many practical models of humanitarian social activities such as: giving Red Cross houses, great solidarity houses, giving subsidy books, maintaining charity porridge pots... From there, mobilize resources to effectively support humanitarian addresses, spreading noble humanitarian gestures. In the first 6 months of 2025, the Provincial Red Cross Association at all levels mobilized philanthropists, businesses... to support funds to visit and give gifts to 45,022 people, with a total value of over 20 billion VND. In particular, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Provincial Red Cross Association at all levels mobilized cadres, members, organizations, individuals, and people inside and outside the province to visit and give gifts to 38,257 households in difficult circumstances with a total value of over 16.5 billion VND, reaching 186% of the target assigned by the Central Association. In response to the Humanitarian Month in 2025, the Provincial Red Cross Association assisted 205 people, worth 185 million VND. District and grassroots Associations assisted 6,015 people, worth over 2.5 billion VND. From the movement, many collectives, individuals and philanthropists have been devoted to charity work, such as: Thien Tam Fund, giving 1,500 Tet gifts, worth 900 million VND; Agribank Vietnam Nam Dinh branch giving 800 gifts, worth 400 million VND; Vietnam Oil and Gas Group giving 1,000 gifts, worth 500 million VND; Vietcombank Nam Dinh branch giving 550 gifts, worth 275 million VND; Sacombank Nam Dinh giving 100 gifts, worth 50 million VND; Manh Hai Trading Joint Stock Company supporting 100 gifts, worth 50 million VND; Hanoi Red Cross Association supporting 50 gifts, worth 33 million VND...

Along with regular support activities, the Provincial Red Cross Society also mobilizes resources to provide emergency support to households facing risks, natural disasters, and illnesses, and supports home repairs for households with particularly difficult housing circumstances. Also from the beginning of 2025 to present, the Society at all levels has supported the construction of 7 new Red Cross houses for households with particularly difficult housing circumstances, helping people stabilize their lives.

With the determination to effectively implement the movement "Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address", the provincial Red Cross Associations at all levels have mobilized the effective participation and assistance of units, organizations and individuals. Thereby, affirming the role of "bridge" in humanitarian and charitable activities of the Association, contributing to the locality in implementing well the work of poverty reduction, ensuring social security, spreading humanitarian gestures, and the spirit of good national solidarity. In order for the movement to be widely deployed, the provincial Red Cross Associations at all levels will continue to propagate to cadres and people of all walks of life about the purpose, meaning and content of the movement, linking the movement with the emulation movements of the Association to strive to fulfill the socio -economic development goals of the locality. Along with that, the Red Cross Associations at all levels focus on surveying and grasping the needs of each target group in order to develop appropriate assistance plans; mobilize and call for socialized resources to have sustainable funding sources to provide long-term and effective assistance to the poor and people in difficult circumstances.
