Vinyl records used to be a symbol of luxury, where placing the needle to listen to music was a ritual. Cassettes are popular and associated with memories of “mixtapes”, the noise and rewinding tapes with a ballpoint pen.
The CD ushered in an era of digital music that was clearer, more compact, and more durable than the cassette. MP3 and iTunes put music “in your pocket”, convenient but brought with it the problem of copyright infringement.
iPods and MP3 players have completely changed the way young people access music. When streaming came along, music became an on-demand service, with endless music just a few taps away. However, listeners no longer actually own the music, but only “rent” it on the platforms.
However, each period of listening to music leaves its own cultural mark in the memories of the 7X and 8X generations. Dear readers, please watch more videos: When livestream becomes an economic sector: After the boom, it must be tightened | VTV24
