This is also a practical activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), towards Party Congresses at all levels.

Joining the environmental sanitation with the functional forces and people of Xuan Dinh ward, comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, stated that the launching ceremony is just the beginning, the Party Committee, the government, and the Fatherland Front of the ward need to continue to strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to regularly maintain environmental sanitation from home to the street, along with strengthening discipline in urban order management.

The Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee also hopes that local people will be proactive, active, and self-conscious in maintaining a sustainable living environment that is always bright, green, clean, and beautiful. This is a practical action for everyone to share and contribute to making Hanoi the most beautiful to welcome the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
Meanwhile, speaking at the launching ceremony held at August Revolution Square, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh said that in recent years, with the drastic participation of the entire political system, environmental sanitation, urban beautification and building a civilized lifestyle in the city have had clear changes. Many roads and neighborhoods have become cleaner and greener; the awareness of officials and people has been gradually raised.

However, in addition to the achieved results, the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee also frankly pointed out that there is still a situation of waste remaining in residential areas, violations of classified advertising, encroachment on sidewalks and roads, pollution of rivers in the inner city area that has not been thoroughly handled; environmental protection awareness of a number of officials and people is still limited.

"These shortcomings require urgent, more synchronous, continuous and drastic solutions. We cannot allow waste to be dumped in the wrong places, spilled onto the streets, causing loss of urban beauty; littering in rivers and lakes, causing water pollution; burning waste and agricultural by-products, causing air pollution... affecting the quality of the living environment," Mr. Tran Sy Thanh emphasized.

Directive No. 44-CT/TU also emphasizes the need to mobilize the full participation of the entire political system, especially at the grassroots level, in environmental sanitation and urban order management. Each commune and ward must establish a Steering Committee for Environmental Sanitation and Urban Order headed by the Party Secretary, organize weekly general cleaning, and maintain the "Green Weekend" movement.
