Heavy rain caused flooding, so this morning, some schools in Hanoi, such as Hoang Cau High School, urgently announced that students would be off school because the school yard and first floor were flooded.




Meanwhile, the report of Hanoi Drainage Company Limited said that due to heavy rain with total accumulated rainfall of 30-50mm, many streets in Hanoi were flooded, such as: Tran Vu, Cao Ba Quat (Ba Dinh ward); Lieu Giai, Doi Can (Ngoc Ha ward); Phung Hung, Bat Dan, Trang Tien - Hang Bai intersection (Hoan Kiem ward); Thai Ha, Lang Ha, Huynh Thuc Khang (Dong Da ward); Nguyen Khuyen, Le Duan (Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam ward); Truong Chinh, Chua Boc, Ton That Tung (Kim Lien ward); Xuan Thuy, Cau Giay, Pham Hung (Cau Giay ward); Au Co, Thuy Khue, Vo Chi Cong (Tay Ho ward); Quan Nhan, Nguyen Tuan, Nguyen Trai, Le Van Luong (Thanh Xuan ward); Giai Phong, Tan Mai, Linh Nam (Hoang Mai ward)... Along with that, flooding also occurred in low-lying suburban areas, such as: Xuan Mai, Thuong Tin, Dan Phuong, Dong Anh.



As heavy rains in Hanoi continue to last, authorities are warning that the level of natural disaster risk due to flooding in Hanoi is at level 1. At the same time, they are warning of the risk of landslides in some communes and wards in Ba Vi and Son Tay areas. People are requested to proactively prepare response plans and closely monitor the heavy rain situation to ensure traffic and daily life safety.
