Gasoline prices slightly decrease, RON 95 falls below 20,000 VND/liter

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade , based on the developments in world oil prices, fluctuations in the VND/USD exchange rate and current regulations, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance decided to adjust retail prices of oil products to ensure domestic prices are consistent with world trends, encourage the use of biofuels and harmonize interests among market participants.

Specifically, the price of E5 RON gasoline is not higher than 19,481 VND/liter (down 178 VND/liter compared to the previous period).

RON 95-III gasoline is not higher than VND 19,925/liter (down VND 165/liter compared to the previous period).

Diesel 0.05S is not higher than VND 18,799/liter (down VND 38/liter compared to the previous period).

Kerosene is not higher than VND 18,429/liter (up VND 58/liter compared to the previous period).

Mazut oil 180CST 3.5S is not higher than 15,478 VND/kg (down 85 VND/kg compared to the previous period).

In this adjustment period, the joint ministries decided to continue not to set aside and not to use the gasoline price stabilization fund for E5 RON 92 gasoline, RON 95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene and fuel oil.

According to the joint agency of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, the world petroleum market during the period from July 10 to July 17 is affected by many factors, with alternating increases and decreases for all commodities.

These include a decrease in US crude oil inventories, while distillate inventories increased; OPEC+ forecasts that oil demand will continue to increase in the third quarter; information about the US's new import tax policy on goods from trading partners; the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues...

The average price of finished petroleum products in the world between the two management periods for RON 92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline increased to 78.010 USD/barrel (down 0.904 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 1.15%); 79.700 USD/barrel for RON95 gasoline (down 0.772 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.96%);

For oil products, the specific prices are as follows: 86.620 USD/barrel of kerosene (up 0.422 USD/barrel, equivalent to an increase of 0.49%); 89.180 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel oil (down 0.118 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.13%); 416.390 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (down 2.530 USD/ton, equivalent to a decrease of 0.60%)./.

Thus, after the session when gasoline prices increased again after decreasing in the previous two sessions, gasoline prices returned to a slight decrease.

Petroleum traders adjusted prices at 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, July 17.
