Saigon Jewelry Company - SJC reduced the price of SJC gold bars by 200,000 VND per tael, buying at 117.5 million VND, selling at 119.5 million VND. Mi Hong Company reduced the price by 200,000 VND, buying at 118.8 million VND, selling at 119.5 million VND. Doji Group bought at 117.5 million VND, selling at 119.5 million VND... The price of gold rings also decreased by about 200,000 VND per tael, SJC Company bought at 113.5 million VND, selling at 116.1 million VND; Doji bought at 114 million VND, selling at 116 million VND...

Domestic gold prices have changed slowly in recent days while world precious metals have fluctuated strongly. This has made SJC gold bars more expensive than the world by VND13.9 million/tael, while gold rings are higher by VND10.4 million/tael.

World gold prices increased by 8 USD to 3,332 USD/ounce. In the US trading session (night of June 24), world gold prices fell sharply to 3,294 USD/ounce from 3,370 USD/ounce. The stabilization of the geopolitical situation after the ceasefire between Iran and Israel took effect caused world gold prices to plummet. At the same time, strong increases in global stocks and sharp drops in oil prices also put pressure on the precious metal market.

In addition, investors are paying close attention to the speech of the Chairman of the US Federal Reserve (Fed) before Congress. Comments on interest rate policy are making the market expect that the Fed will maintain a cautious stance instead of easing. This could continue to negatively impact gold prices in the short term. Therefore, according to analysts, in the current situation, investors should consider gold as a diversification tool rather than a hedge against geopolitical risks. Although gold is not completely attractive as a safe haven, market analysts at UBS emphasize that the strength of gold lies not in its role as a hedge against geopolitical events, but in its broader function in a diversified investment portfolio./.
